custom Lens profiles in C1 or convert Alpa Lens Corrector to C1

Hi,

is there a way to add custom lens profiles to c1?
Or, is there a way to use/convert Alpa Lens Corrector files to use in C1?
Because: I am looking for a good distortion workflow for my Leica R 28mm PC Super Angolan lens in C1.

The result from Alpa Lens Corrector is fantastic but it has do be done outside of CaptureOne.

Thanks

Well, meanwhile I found a good, not perfect, profile in CaptureOne for the LRpc28 on the Leica M: Hasselblad 28 HDC is a build in profile and works good so far.

I still have to check the left/right shift.
Also c1 answered my request.
It should be easy to open a way to put in the ALPA correction values - it’s just mathematics.

I've been looking into this as well, and stumbled upon the freeware Proxel Lens Corrector. It's comprised of two parts, a standalone analyzer program and a correction plugin for PS. It seems to be the same system the Alpa Lens plugin uses, so generated profiles work with either one. (And probably internally in C1 as it's reported to be based on the Alpa corrector.)

So far I've only done a few tests with single center-framed, single shift-framed, and shift-stitched files and it looks very promising! There's no CA correction though.

I've requested in the past to Phase that they include profiles for Canon/Nikon TS lenses to take advantage of the shift fields in the movement tab. Maybe requests to read user .lcf files would be an easier ask?

@Alan
This is an interesting post, thanks.
I didn’t know about that c1 is using the ALPA techniques.

I wrote an feature request to C1 (support request), they told me that they using a more advanced correction than Alpa.

Maybe it helps when more people are requesting this feature.

The main problem for my workflow is that the Alpa or Proxel is outside of C1.
