iPad Question

Hello :

I have never owned an iPad and it’s the very first time I am considering it - Seems Apple is to introduce new versions in a couple of days.

Reasons for considering the iPad now are as follows :

1. Full version of Photoshop that will be introduced sometime in 2019 enabling retouching with iPencil. ( I currently use a Wacom with a Mac - Am not trying to replace the Wacom, but would want most of that ability on an iPad ad well ).
2. During travels besides the WD My Passport WiFi, I want to use the iPad to not only to view images, but to also back up all the images.
3. Use the iPad to take notes using apps such as Noteability.

Noting my above mentioned uses, I remained n unsure if I should get the 10.5/11 inch or the 12.9 inch ?

Please share based on your experiences.

Thanks,

Jai

I bought several 12.9” copies, very happy with them.
The extra real estate comes in handy to watch images.

The choice of size is dependent upon whether weight and portability is more or less important than screen real estate. I have both size iPad Pro machines: I travel with the 9.7", I use the 12.1" mostly at home.

BTW: Affinity Photo already provides nearly all the functionality of Photoshop. I'm becoming more and more comfortable with it. :D

I don't use the iPad as backup storage intentionally, raw photo files take up too much space for that. My image files are safe on the original cards.

Thank you both for your valuable inputs.

Even prior to posting the question I was leaning towards the smaller of the 2 pads case my mail use is for backing up and viewing images while traveling where weight and size will matter.

Your replies confirms I am on the right track in selecting the smaller of the two.

Thanks !.
