    New Topaz Plugin: Photo AI

I just downloaded the pre-release version (0.6) and gave it a try with a few images. Photo AI combines Sharpen AI, Denoise AI, and Gigapixel AI with some additional new features into one app (both standalone and LR plugin). Looks very good so far after just a few trials. I just used default...

Fun with the Ricoh GR III

Old mill in Upper Treman State park at the headwaters of Enfield Creek. Fishkill Creek behind the mill was the source of power to turn the grindstones. Low flow season now would not provide any power to grind grain.

    slow day here...

Bright red over a monochrome symbol. How many shades is "twee"? I have meibomian gland dysfunction that has created several vision problems recently so I am not a reliable subject for your test.

    Fun with Sony Cameras 2022

Took the Sony a7c FS with Vertex adapter and a Mamiya 55/2.8 N lens over to Sapsucker Woods for a few shots around the pond. Only problem was I switched lenses just before leaving for the shoot and forgot to bring the hot mirror filter. These shots are all uncorrected full spectrum.

This is the Mamiya 150mm f/3.5 N, shot at f/16 and ISO 100. Four shots stitched in LR Photomerge for approx 62 MP file...

Full frame Foveon - has the need passed?

I still own and occasionally use my Sigma DP2M and DP1M (FS), but as you have all noted these cameras have been surpassed by newer technology and higher true resolution cameras. Another camera I hung onto and hoped for some evolutionary progression was the GXR, but sadly it also deadended.
