What is your decision-making process when choosing your camera and lenses?

I have given up on compact or lightweight systems. I have chosen a system which I want to carry with me because I enjoy seeing through the (optical) viewfinder and I know that the resulting images will be beautiful to my eye unless I made poor choices or mistakes (which happens). There may be...

The great tripod & head thread!

I managed to use a GT1555 with Hasselblad H6D + HTS + lens with good results, but that was inside (churches, for example). I am not sure I would try in the field, and in this case certainly without extending the central column too much, and with the thinest final sections extended at half...

    Hasselblad H6D LiveView Bug

You can also recalibrate your batteries with a simple procedure, just in case. I will follow your report.

    Hasselblad H6D LiveView Bug

Sorry, never had this problem with my H6D... Do you have old batteries ?

Shoulder bag for Alpa Max + 2nd lens?

You would have something like Thinktank Retrospective 30 which is similar in size, more discret (less "luxury bag" type), I think. I used to like this bag and found it very practical, until I switched back to backpacks.

    Hasselblad H future...

Buildbot, I don't think the H1 is comparable to the H6... The H6D platform and X1D platform share most of their components. It is not because all H body share the same shape that the inside is the same. Regarding the need to ask nicely to Fuji and not owning the system : intellectual property...

    Hasselblad H6D-50c in 2022

I have the same experience, although with a H6D-100c. Sensor changed with costs taken by Hasselblad, works perfectly since then. The sensor change was done quickly (I live in Europe, and the seller of the camera is the importer in my country).

Day and night at Conques, a South-western village in France, with a wonderful church from the Sainte-Foy abbey... H6D-100c each time, HC100 for the 1st, HCD24 for the 2nd. Conques_0005 by Sylvain BARTHOLOME, sur Flickr and Conques_0017 by Sylvain BARTHOLOME, sur Flickr

Pentax 645 28-45mm on Cambo Actus

This is obviously not a normal behavior for this lens, which is excellent on Pentax 645Z (or D). Never seen something like this when using it.

The great tripod & head thread!

Hi, I use a Hasselblad H system on Gitzo systematic : the most stable, efficient in almost all situations. I use it on a Mountaineer too (354X) : very efficient too, but I would be more careful in case of (strong) wind, especially with central columns up. I even use a Traveller GT1545 with this...

The great tripod & head thread!

Matt, my experience in use with HC300 + H6 to get satisfyingly sharp pictures : - tripod (3 series or 5 series Gitzo + Arca D4 head) always. Handheld is unreliable for me. - using the lens foot on the tripod, as it balances quite well with the body's weight - 3s timer, ridiculously easy to...

The great tripod & head thread!

On the Leica S, you should be able to activate the leaf shutter of your HC lens by switching from "FPS" position to "CS" position. Have you tried, and if yes haven't you noticed an improvement ? I should add that I haven't had too many problems with the HC300 on H camera so far, whatever speed I...

    Fun with MF images 2021

To warm up a little bit before European Heritage Days which will happen this week-end, here is a picture of a building I first visited precisely during this event years ago (before I even had a DSLR...) : the Opera Garnier in Paris. This one taken with Hasselblad H6D-100c and HCD24. Opéra...
