No problem, I just wanted to set the record straight. I follow your work on Facebook, fantastic!

This is how it is, Hasselblad design and make the body (in Gothenborg), Hasselblad design the lenses and make the lens shutters. Fuji make the lenses to Hasselblad design. I have posted a reply like this more times than I can remember in the forums but the old misunderstanding still won't die...

    CFV50c Images

You may need a small modification to the circuitry of the 205 to use it with a CFV back. Get in touch with Hasselblad in New Jersey who should be able to tell you more.

    Hasselblad H5D shot counter reset

Back in the days when I was a 'Hasselbuddy' I made this help sheet for H cameras and it is probably the same for the H5D. Please see the attached pdf.

Oh Dear .. tho the writing did seem to be on the Wall

I discovered many years ago that the Hasselblad market in diferent countries can be hugely different. In the UK at least, many professional photographers still use the V system and many more are moving back to it. Some do it to experience again the discipline and reward of film photography and...

Update Hasselblad H2 firmware without back

Yes you can at a service station and they would use the data interface.

does a CFV back need a gliding mirror system?

The body length, mirror alignment and screen height.

does a CFV back need a gliding mirror system?

The authorised Hasselblad service stations for V cameras will have the necessary equipment to calibrate the V series cameras to the tighter tolerances that are expected for digital work. I have this equipment and so do Sweden and USA service stations, there are probably others as well and the...

    555 ELD for DB applications.

It will fit as it is but you will need an adapter to fit the battery, or to put it another way, if you are powered via tether it will fit and work with no adapter.

    Crappy Hasselblad/Bron Service

I can reassure you with one part of your complaint. I know the H cameras well and I can tell you that changing the contacts would not affect the focus. Replacement of the contacts does not disturb the alignment.

Using CFV on unmodified 200 series

The 205 and the zone metering system was my favourite, I never felt so in control of the exposure with any other system. If you ever get a chance to try it please take it and see if you don't agree.

    IQ160 + Hassi V + Syncing woes

Some years ago I discovered that noise or contact bounce on the flash contact in the shutter of the lens could upset Phase backs. This problem is not isolated to Hasselblad cameras or Phase backs, it first came to attention with some computer flashguns many years ago. It is very easily corrected...

    cf card error in H4D-50

Please also try a format using your computer. If you are sure the card is clean and genuine and you have the latest firmware let Hasselblad know of your problem.

    Hasselblad "Solar" !!!

Of course yes! You will notice in the background of the picture of the Blue Hasselblad is my own wooden 500C, the Swedes called it the 'Old Horse', don't ask me why. Covering Hasselblads in wood is something I started years ago, and I didn't need an Italian designer to tell me how to do it, in...

    Hasselblad "Solar" !!!

I think we all like the idea of special editions even if they are not to our taste (love the silver H but not the Ferrari H) but sadly they don't get used the way they should and sometimes remain little more than a trophy. At least David Beckham is using his Lunar, perhaps he could persuade his...

    Hasselblad "Solar" !!!

Humour is indeed a great thing and this has been a bit of fun, I have been known to use Photoshop for a purpose it was not designed for as has Hasselblad itself in their April 1st internal company memos, the left handed H3D for example. I can see why Hasselblad would want to evoke the glory...
