    September 2014

Wasn't it you who said once you hated the waxy skintones of the Canon files? LOL But when we look back everything is painted in pink, isn't it? In any case your use of so much gear plus the way how you shared your experience gave at lot to be apprecheated on the online photogarphy forums...

Time for a new machine... having trouble with Apple offerings

I am a Mac Book Pro user, with bootcamp alongside Win7 Pro, because I have to, for some ERP software (MS Database). When it comes to workstations I build my own machines and take care to use only hardware that is specified for server applications. It may not have the best price/performance...

    Photoshop goes subscription only

After several month this thread has been not touched, I would like to ask those who have accepted the cloud subscription, how it has worked for them until now and if they would do it again. thank you

When is the new Phase One camera coming out?

A new MF camera should not compete with redunant features. What will never be redundant and is within the positives of MF is the size of the format. I would not get stuck on 645, but go up to 67 and even if it is "only" a 9 micron chip. Other, 135 format will always be ahead in features. It was...

Commercial Product & Speed, Special Photography Help Needed

1,5m x 1,5m means you need already a bigger setup, enough space, big screens and sobos at least four flashes. To work halfway comfortably I would calculate to invest: 5000.- for Camera, tripod and lenses. 5000.- for a decent roomfitting 5000.- for flashes and modifiers. I do not see at all...

    Hasselblad Lunar

A picture says more than thousand words. LOL

    Hasselblad Lunar

Because their design, pricing and marketing is obscene and sick by any standard of taste and sense? Don't you know that bad taste is contagious? :ROTFL:

    Hasselblad Lunar

Well said. I would like to add that rich customers in Asia may fall for some European brand names. But they are not completely dump and after some time and experience with the products the pendulum may swing into the other direction, hate that was desire before. So it is sufficient to say that...

    Hasselblad Lunar

I am greatly dissappointed they haven't included your Corolla version into their portfolio.

    Hasselblad Lunar

Vivek is right, that this and the other tread do not hold anything inspiring. But hey, maybe this will scare other Mfg's off to follow the temptation. (I do not really think so, but hope dies last, as we all know)

    Hasselblad Lunar

However, all the 'nasty' comments aside: We have to thank Hasselblad to let this exemplary test ballon rise. I cannot remember this has been done before. But imagine it will be successful. ....... and others want to follow.

    Hasselblad Lunar

Edit: The gaps are really ugly on this one. And imagine all the dirt that gets stuck in these which are all over this design. Even the shutter release has a dirt collector on top. This will fill up with sweat and dust. Ughhhh, ..... I wonder when the first Lunar's will appear on the bay...

    Hasselblad Lunar

..... hey, thinking about it: anyone wants to pimp up his / her camera. I can do it for you - custom made - "made in Germany". Wood, metal - all available, under highest manufacturing standards. Dont be shy. I am in service for your individuality. :)

    Hasselblad Lunar

As a carpenter by trade I can tell you that the wood is not even properly treated. The pores of the grain should be completly filled by filler and the final laquer should be a closed, smooth surface - best high polished with many layers of coating. For this price it should look as smooth as an...

Hasselblad Lunar : they go defensive

Anything is possible now. Think of this decadence slogan. Is there any serious management in this world who would let this embarassing, foolish nonsense pass and get public? Serious only, when they have a hidden agenda to knock Hasselblad down.

Hasselblad Lunar : they go defensive

Re: Hasselblad Lunar: they go defensive No, that's it. The Lunar is: - compact - a dslr : do not start splitting hairs there is no mirror, because it is - mirrorless That is why Hasselblad is so genious and why it is like "The lunar has Decadence - the kind of french Riviera and full body...

Contax 645 Lenses on Leica S

Yes, they are. Thank you. Selling all Contax gear (and you had lots of it) and then buying back into it, after trying else is a proof that you know the value of it. May I ask what 60MP back you got and why? greetings

Contax 645 Lenses on Leica S

Yes, but look what can get in real world. Even if the Contax body is ok, you will not get a used DB under 4000.- and this will be either a P20, P21 or an Aptus entry level. Not comparable to the S2 chip. Then you will have to tremble if the alignment of both do match together and everything...

Contax 645 Lenses on Leica S

Once you add a modern day digital back, it aint less expensive anymore. Digital backs are still way too expensive for what they do and what they are. The S2 is a more attractive body, simple and beautiful, and more compact for travelling.
