Hasselblad extension tube: what am I missing?

Hi, We made the decisions we did for myriad reasons: budgets, an aging but still useful fleet of H series cameras and lenses, and the vagaries of procurement as a state institution. We opted for the new 90 because it was available at the places from which we can purchase. Many of the older XCD...

Hasselblad extension tube: what am I missing?

Here are the results with the 45p. All were shot with the same settings as above. It proves to be a better performer than I was anticipating. I can see why Robert gets such good results with 35mm film! I am a little surprised that Hasselblad does not mention the poor performance with certain...

Hasselblad extension tube: what am I missing?

That's interesting, Robert. 48mm is a quite a bit of extension, hopefully we will get minimal vignetting with only 18mm. I will post similar images soon with the 45p soon.

Hasselblad extension tube: what am I missing?

Thanks for that. I did not turn that post up in my googling. I’ll try it with the 45p and see how it goes.

Hasselblad extension tube: what am I missing?

My institution is moving towards updating our aging fleet of H series cameras with the X2D. We mostly adapt the HC 120 Macro II for close up work, but recently purchased a pair of XCD extension tubes to try out with our 90/2.5. I am adding some images from our initial test. The corners to say...

Trying to replicate Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution with a Nikon and LrC

You could try taking an image from your camera and playing with the sliders in the calibration panel to get a look that appeals to you, and save that as an import preset. It would help to have a raw image from a Hasselblad made at the same time to compare to.

    New Hasselblad Camera Coming?

The camera I use most at work is a H5D 200c, which is a great camera most of the time. It is getting pretty old and has regular communication issues with Phocus. The sensor resolution is perfect for the kinds of work I mainly do, photographing objects for paper conservation and photographing a...

    Let's see some abstracts

Very nicely presented as a diptych. Either image could stand on it's own, but have good energy together.

    Image Stacking for Macro

Very nice images! I have been photographing Art Deco belt buckles and I noticed some of the same blurred areas next to hard edges when I used render method B. I tried render method C, smoothing 4 and they look pretty seamless. I wish I could post examples, but it would violate workplace rules.

    Positive feedback for @step56

I purchased a Rodenstock 70 HR from @step56. I found our communications easy and pleasant. The lens was shipped very quickly and exceeded all of my expectations. I would not hesitate to purchase from him in the future. Cheers!

Your favourite “bang for the buck” lenses

Because of this thread, I now have the Pentax-A 645 lenses in 35 and 75 mm. I have a Fotodiox non shifting adapter, which is barely passable. Shifting limitations aside, I would like to use these on my Cambo WRS. Is anyone doing this with any success?

Fuji GFX 100ii vs Hasselblad x2d 100c using Color Checker Digital SG

You can remove a lot of the uncertainty with raw processing by making custom profiles of your camera. This tells the software how your camera views color and accounts for the amount of deviation from the known standard; the color checker sg. Couple this with full spectrum lighting, placed...

Your favourite “bang for the buck” lenses

I was wondering about that. I am looking at the Fotodiox Pro Shift adapter and the website says "focus to infinity and beyond" in the description. I didn't know if they were just throwing in a movie reference or if it actually went beyond. Do you find it has much of a practical downside or is it...

Your favourite “bang for the buck” lenses

Would anyone have images to share using the Pentax 645 A 75mm? I'm thinking about getting one for my 907x, but I have been unsuccessful at finding image samples.
