END This POST: TY Recommendations: Stepping Down from Medium Format Digital

I now use Fuji x-t5 additionally to my FF Leica equipment. I am really having fun with the x-t5 user interface. My carry on kit is a smaal bag with 10-24, either 23 or 33/1.4 and 90/2.0. Love it. I cant tell you yet how it compares to full frame. my feeling - in good light its quite good, in...

FS: Leica S3 Body in very good condition - incl. original packing, charger, battery, etc. - located in Germany (30 Minutes south of Frankfurt); pickup would be prefered - so you can check out everything and have a look at the very good condition - I bought this second hand in mint condition...

    Fun with MF images 2025

This image was with 0.7 sec. handhold. Yes, the x2d has IBIS. I don't know yet how far you can go, but for me IBIS is a big advantage, specially for medium format. Thank you for your comment!

    Hasselblad XCD 20-35mm f/3.2-4.5 E

I am also someone reading Loyds review and often do not agree With all his findings. Of course he is doing a lot of pixel peeping, and he finds allmost allways something problematic in nearly every lens. I take it like this: if he writes negative about a lens, dont overrate it, look other...

    38:2.5 or 45P for X-Pan style images

Out of the 2 if money was no factor I would prefer 38. faster, silent, nice focus ring, and if find the focal length very interesting.

    38:2.5 or 45P for X-Pan style images

only you know which angle/ focal length you are looking for. Personally Innow use 2035+75 and also have a 45 ( because you can get it for low price). If this should be your widest lens I would want at least 38 or wider.. 28-45-90 could also be a nice combo.

    fat pixel digital backs

I dont know. But I find the images from the x2d and xcd lenses somewhat closest to fat pixel (not same) mf look of todays cameras( please dont blame me for this comment). But interesting comment. which specific lenses did you make this experience? When I had a fat pixel back I used a Hy6 with...

MFD 2025 – state of the industry and outlook

SL3 is my main flexible system, it can do most of the things with 95%.IQ, speed, flexibility,... On a SL3 you can use zooms or primes, wides or Tele (for example 70200/90280 Signa 500/5.6), you have phase AF so you can do sports if it doesn't get too too fast etc. I dont believe a MF system can...

MFD 2025 – state of the industry and outlook

I entered the S system when it was new and paid a lot of money for all those lenses, same with the cl, both still work but both are old systems. New products from Leica in 2024 were rebaged sigma lenses for double price. I trust more in the sl system and M system than another new s system. But...

MFD 2025 – state of the industry and outlook

Personally I am a little tired that we don't get roadmaps from those manufactures. If there comes an S4-how long do we have to wait for a complete lense lineup? Old S-lenses on mirrorless, at least on SL bodies focus loud and slow, no fun. SO I am not sure how good older lenses will work on an...
