Finally found "the" backpack for my IQ4 and Hassy system...

If you look at the photo of the fully packed backpack, you can see there is a stretchy pocket that's part of the divider where inserted an extra battery (not all dividers have this feature - I think there are 3 of them that do), and put a retaining strap over one of my lenses (they provide a...

Finally found "the" backpack for my IQ4 and Hassy system...

Actually they even thought of that - there are built in carabiniers in the water bottle pocket that can attach to the side access zippers to keep it more secure. I will attach photos of that. Also shown is how easily the IQ4 fits in via the side, and how my pack is currently packed with the IQ4...

Finally found "the" backpack for my IQ4 and Hassy system...

I did watch various YouTube reviews comparing backpacks including the Lowepro and Shimoda ones, and it seemed the Compagnon offered the best features for what I was looking for, including external pockets, side panel access and a few other things not always offered by competitors. Of course what...

Finally found "the" backpack for my IQ4 and Hassy system...

Sure - will post as soon as I can. The Mindshift is missing the side panel access, its waist belt is non removable, it's narrower, and it doesn't have nearly as many accessible pockets on the outside. I do like the interior see through pockets on the Mindshift though...

Finally found "the" backpack for my IQ4 and Hassy system...

This is not a paid or sponsored ad or anything. I have a closet full of all kinds of bags, with none of them really having everything I wanted in a bag....until I found the Compagnon Element backpack. If you haven't checked it out and are looking for a backpack with around 30L of space, it's...

Tilt/swing very useful on telephoto landscape shots?

Thanks Dave! Since the DOF wedge is small, would you say it’s even more important to have the ability to tilt, or are you saying even with tilt the DOF is still going to be pretty narrow?

Tilt/swing very useful on telephoto landscape shots?

I am getting ready to pull the trigger on the Rodenstock 180mm for my IQ4150/Cambo 1600 tech cam set up for landscape shooting, and am wondering if it's worth it to spring for the version with tilt/swing. I can see it being somewhat useful for more close-up shots, but not so much for shots...

    Fun with MF images 2022

Foggy conditions here in CT yesterday - perfect for some B&W landscape photography! Taken with my X2D and either the 30mm or 135mm.

    Technical Camera Images

What caught my eye is the traditional house in the background that looks like it crash landed on a modern office building - what's up with that?!

    X2D questions, comments, tips

One question I have for X2D users is whether they love using any particular M-mount lenses on it, even if cropped to square. I have the Novoflex M adapter but sold all my M mount lenses except my Voigtlander 15mm III.

    X2D questions, comments, tips

I've been using just the internal storage, since offloading pics straight from the camera is really fast that way via USB-C. However, since I have a CF 128GB Express card and reader from my Phase One system anyway, I think I am going to start using that card in the X2D and record to both...

    Hasselblad X2D and Leica S3 - Update 2: A difficult focus

After using the 21m and 38V for a while, I was missing something between them - the 38V feels a bit long for me, and the 21mm too wide, so when I found a good deal on a 30mm XCD I picked one up. The split between the 30mm and 55V makes more sense to me - the 38mm and 55mm seem a bit close. So...

Any comments on or samples taken with the Rodenstock 138mm?

Original poster here - I decided to go with the Rodenstock 180mm instead, mainly for cost reasons...

    Medium Format and Coffee

I came across this thread while enjoying a morning latte made on my Rocket Cellini espresso machine - a beautiful machine over ten years old and still going strong (will post a pic). I use a local roaster's espresso beans. I also use a Jura E8 when I want a cup of coffee or when making coffee...

Any comments on or samples taken with the Rodenstock 138mm?

Hi everyone. I am currently using two systems - the Hassy X2D (for when I don't want to or can't use a tripod), and the Phase One IQ4150. For my IQ4150 I have the Rodenstock 23mm, 32mm and 70mm HR lenses and they are fantastic, with the 32mm getting the most use. I am using a Cambo 1600 tech...

    Hasselblad X2D first impressions

Getting back to the post-processing discussion, I have tried using Phocus and sending TIFFs to both Lightroom and Capture One, but it's such a pain and time suck without a clear payoff in terms of superior file quality IMHO that I will likely go back to just using LR with it's amazing masking...

    FS: Cambo Rodenstock 23mm 5.6 HR Digaron-S

I bought it from Jaewon. Incredible lens, especially on the IQ4 150. Just wish I had more time to use it!
