X1D Firmware 1.17.2: Resizeable AF points AND Electronic Shutter!

I am sorry you are having such troubles. However, with all due respect, until more people report similar symptoms, I wonder if it's "correlation does not always equal causation," kind of thing... in the few days since the upgrade, I have yet to experience what you describe... the upgrade, for...

X1D Firmware 1.17.2: Resizeable AF points AND Electronic Shutter!

Any one test the electronic shutter yet... any reports? Also, is there a way to add a "switch" to the quick menu in the back for the electronic shutter (a short-cut)? Thanks. Eli

    X1D: Where are we at?

The thing that I think Affinity lacks is the cataloging capabilities of Lightroom and the back-and-forth with Photoshop... Do you miss the cataloging power? I am wondering if any of you Affinity users could comment on that, as I find some things attractive about Affinity. Thanks. Eli

    Where is the X1D ????

Re: Minor Firmware Upgrade Available Just for your info, there is a minor firmware upgrade for our beloved X1D, which supposedly fixes the "no card" issue (and perhaps some others?), available on the Hasselblad site. Eli

    Fun with X1D

Jon, I have been using the camera quite consistently and have not notice any heat problems whatsoever. No, I have not been shooting in desert conditions, but in normal California spring-like conditions, everything seems "normal." -- Eli

Also, my complaint about the maximum auto-iso previously being 3200 has been addressed: now it's user settable to any up to the maximum. Also, the focus peaking is really nice. Now, to take some pictures. Eli

Hi Eleanor, I was wondering why you prefer the fff file format? Also, LR imports files in the 3fr format, so how do you get files in the fff format into LR? Thanks, Eli

Eleanor, how are you accomplishing lens correction in Lightroom? In my Lightroom, which is the latest version as far as I know, there is no provision for the XCD lens correction, only for the older Hasselblad lenses. Are there profiles available to import in LR for the XCD lenses? (I can see the...

Quick question re Auto ISO: Am I missing something? On Auto ISO, it seems that Iso doesn't go above 3200. Shouldn't it go higher if the EV demands it? Now it looks like I have to set the ISO manually if I want to use higher shutter speeds, let's say, which defeats the idea of "Auto ISO." Is this...

    Fun with X1D

Hi Everyone, So... I only had a few hours in Chicago to "break in" the camera (actually, break-in myself). I like this camera, although there are a few things to get used to, but nothing major. Some of the menu options are kind of mysterious as to what they actually do, but that will get sorted...
