    GF 35-70mm on GFX100s

Oh, and one more thing for the OP: on the GFX 100 sensor, f11 destroys sharpness and microcontrast (on all lenses), due to diffraction effects (small pixel size). I would rather do f8 and stack, than stop down past f8.

    GF 35-70mm on GFX100s

It’s a solid f8 performer. Impeccable value for money, good handling. At f8 it even made my GF 80 prime look bad.

leaving medium format and use "just" FF? X2D vs SL2 (or SL3)

For me it’s easy - I need to print big (3meters x 2 meters), for gallery distance viewing. And 100 MP is a minimum for me - 400MP would be even better, even if I do composits. In any other use case 35mm is more than enough for dellivering on 99.9% of photographic needs, if you don’t need to...

    Hasselblad X2D and Leica S3 - Update 2: A difficult focus

All I know is on my GFX 100, f11 looks significantly worse, in terms of microcontrast and finer detail, compared to f8, on all my lenses. That’s all I’m saying. If that’s not an issue for you, well, that is 100% legit. But then it’s a shame about those 100 MPs :)

    Hasselblad X2D and Leica S3 - Update 2: A difficult focus

At 11mm the x2d images are dulled from diffraction. f 5.6 is the optimum aperture for that sensor pixel pitch, assuming the lens is also optimised for f 5.6. In practice f8 is the practical compromise. At f11 you definitely do not have 100mp of detail. Them sharpening needs to be different, in...

    WTB EU - Rodenstock Digaron-W 70mm

Bump. I updated the thread - I have decided the 70mm will be a better fit for my needs, due to the larger IC, instead of the 60m. Let's see if there are any 70s available, out there!

    WTB EU - Rodenstock Digaron-W 70mm

The title says it all - I'm looking for a Rodenstock Digaron-W 70mm ; it can be the Sironar Digital branded version. Planning to use this on an Arca Swiss M2 camera - so it needs to be fitted / allow fitting on a compatible lens board.

Fuji GFX and Cambo Actus Lens Options

A 23mm shift starting from the 44mm edge of the GFX sensor, will actually demand a 74.7mm image circle diagonal, for coverage.

    Cambo Actar, anyone ?

I need to use the view camera for the exact same type of shots. It looks like I need to start saving for that Arca M2 ….

    Cambo Actar, anyone ?

Hmm, the wobbly Actus sounds like a real pain. Is it the G or the B version ?

    Valuable insights, thank you!

    Cambo Actar, anyone ?

Thank you, that's really helpful. I do not plan to stop down further than f8, on the GFX 100, due to diffraction (I do aggressive enlargements and it does show up). The GFX will also be more demanding on lens performance due to the smaller pixel pitch. Damn, I really cannot afford those...

    Cambo Actar, anyone ?

The Cambo Actar 105 HR is the Rdenstock 105 macro, with floating element(s?) and with a dedicated ring - it allows you to select the magnification for which you need the lens IQ to be optimized. It’s expensive and I couldn’t really find stock anywhere and it doesn’t appear on the rodenstock...

    Cambo Actar, anyone ?

I would appreciate any experience with these lenses, on larger formats. I plan to use them on he Fuji GFX 100, on the Actus-G setup but I cannot seem to find much informtion on the IQ of the 60, 80, 90 and 120. I cannot afford the special (and probably discontinued) 105 HR and I’m not sure the...

Fuji GFX and Cambo Actus Lens Options

I would really appreciate some more feedback on the Cambo Actar lens options, when used with something like the GFX 100 (s). I am considering the 60 and potentially 120, with Cambo Actus, for my GFX 100. The 80 and 90 are also interesting, but the FOV of the 60 and 120 combination would make...

Fuji GFX100S and Roddy55 and schneider 47mm on Arca Swiss

Is the 18-20mm limitation on Fuji GFX bodies valid at all focusing distances ? (I would assume so, but maybe I’m wrong)
