Advantages of using Hasselblad C/CF/CFI/CFE lenses with XV adapter on X1D/X2D/907x vs CF II 50v on a 5xx body with the Cxx lenses

I have been reading the thread "Hasselblad XV Lens Adapter Questions". I was just wondering what your thoughts are relating to the advantages (respectively) of using C/CF/CFI/CFE lenses on: (a) X1D/X2D/907x CF II 50v with the XV adapter (or similar adapter) (b) 5xx body with a CF II 50V I know...

Suggestions for Carrying Case for Hassey 907x-cfv ii 50c + xcd 21mm Lens

I second a Pelican for hard case--lots of sizes and different configurations for your equipment. For a soft case, I use a Think Tank Retrospective 10 v 2.0 for my 907x 50c II with my 21mm and 45p. A really good soft and padded case to have the lense connected to the camera and ready to make...

Anyone notice the prices of the 5xx series and CF/CFx lenses going up

Thanks for sharing your observation. You are right about film cameras, I saw someone selling a Contax G2 with a 45mm lens for $1700, that is almost the price I paid when it was new many moons ago.

Anyone notice the prices of the 5xx series and CF/CFx lenses going up

Just want to ask the community about noticing prices of the Hasselblad 5xx series cameras and CF/CFx lenses going up in price? I got an email from a local photo shop selling pre-owned medium format equipment and when I saw how much they wanted for some of these Hasselblad camera and lenses, I...

Hasselblad 28 Sept 2021 "Beyond Classic"

Just as a Note, "8" is a lucky number in the Asian culture and as such, on reason for the celebration of the "80th" Anniversary! (Especially when the parent company of Hasselblad is a Chinese company.)

    Hasselblad 907x portrait mode

I would also look at the X1DII if you need to shoot verticals--if that is what you shoot most of the time. Also look at the 907x with the grip which will make shooting verticals much easier. The 907x 50c is a great camera! If you think shooting verticals is hard on 907x, try a 5xx with the...

Fun with 503cx and CFV50c ii

Claude, thank you for sharing your images. Never saw a 503CX with a star on it. Love that! I will have to use my kit like yours too and see what images I can create with it. Best wishes!

    Reasons for MF in 2021

Whatever camera(s) we are fortunate enough to use to make great images, we are blessed! Cameras are tools, and tools will always evolve and get better. That said, photographic equipment are personal preferences in our photographic journey. Hopefully we can share our wonderful images with...

Hasselblad Advice - Older digital backs

Love visiting your home country! You will find using the V-series (5xx cameras) vs the H-series (HxD) to be very different. If you have not used either one, I recommend borrowing one to try before deciding. I went from the 500cm film to H3DII-31 and hated the transition. It is definitely two...

Hasselblad CFVII 50c back on SWC body ... who's tried it on an older SWC?

Godfrey, Hope you are well! In the Hasselblad Manual for the 50C II, on Page 7, it states bodies from 1957 onward would work, however on page 54, it states "Older versions of the SWC cameras cannot be used ". A bit confusing! I wish I still have my 903SWC to use with my 50c II! Oh well...

Be Careful with Your Digital Backs!!

Darr, So sorry to hear about your back. That said, hope you enjoy the new 50C CFV II! Let us know how you like it and the differences you are finding vs the CFV I version. Thank you. Fingers crossed that you get your back returned sooner rather than later. Best wishes

    907x 50c + XH adapter + HC 50-110 zoom

Has anyone tried attaching the HC 50-110 Zoom onto a 907x 50c with the XH adapter? If yes, any thoughts or insight? Performance? Since NOT the orange dot model, only manual focus can be used? How about exposure modes and shutter/aperture settings on the CFV 50c II? Would it be wise to add a...

    Fun with the Hasselblad 907x

Hoping all of you are having a better 2021 than a 2020! Having lots of fun with my kit and wishing we all come out of this tunnel being in a better world and a better place going forward. Be Safe and be well! (Christmas at Longwood Gardents, Kennett Square PA USA)

Can you recommend a Hassy MF body/Lens to work with Hasselblad CFVii Back

If I had to get any of the bodies in the V-series, I would opt for 503CW or 555ELD since they are the newest ones. I have a PME90 finder which will allow me to use for portraits. The 503cxi/503cw also takes a Winder CW to help with holding the camera on vertical (though adds to the weight)...

    Fun with the Hasselblad 907x

Paratom, I am right there with Godfrey. Set the length of the neck strap to a comfortable length to help with the stabilization. I've had my 907x 50c + 45p since the middle of October and love the size and balance! My intent was to use the 50c II for my V-series cameras/lenses, but I have...

    HASSELBLAD 907x Major connection issues

Jürgen, Big apologies for hearing about your kit. I would strongly suggest you emailing every person in Hasselblad you know, especially the CEO (Paul Bram) stating what has happened and you need a NEW kit and not one that you have been sending back and forth to get right. We are all behind...

    Fun with the Hasselblad 907x

I am really enjoying my 907x 50c + 45P. Compact and well balanced. Love the 45P! (What an wonderful $7500 point and shoot camera when it is used as a nice walk around to record the mundane things in life! Even in 2020--during this Pandemic stricken year.)

    Fun with the Hasselblad 907x

Enjoying the craziness of 2020 where we are having a nor'easter and having accumulation of snow that we have not seen in several years! Happy holidays to everyone and looking forward to turning the page into a new year!
