    FUJIFILM GFX 50S, 50R, 100, etc. ... Peculiarities

Got it. My fault entirely, was pressing the wrong button - the one below the 'Disp/Back' lettering not the one below. (the lettering is in between the two) Duh. Oh well. Thanks for your help.

    FUJIFILM GFX 50S, 50R, 100, etc. ... Peculiarities

I have my GFX-100 and am trying to update lenses for PD AF, but getting nowhere. Fuji say to hold down to DISP/BACK button while powering on (with new lens firmware on freshly formatted memory card) to access firmware update screen. But... I just get a normal startup that way. Can never access...

    Phase One IQ4 - Feature Update 1

'Frame averaging' is of course what every better cellphone has been doing for the past 3-4 years. Google's 'night shot' mode is the most spectacular implementation of it (handheld at that!) Plus there's 'computational RAW' on their Pixel phones, with free file storage in the cloud. Google seem...

    Rodenstock Aperture only Option

Yeah, ha ha, but... can you get a lens cap on and off in 1/100 of a second? How about 1/1000th? Didn't think so. The point was that you may need a fast shutter speed to freeze action without rolling shutter issues from ES, so.. for an aperture only lens I simply pointed out that you can use a...

    Rodenstock Aperture only Option

You can also use an Alpa Focal Plane shutter solution - the Silex or FPS. No need to be restricted to ES, with its slow sweep times, and rolling shutter.

    Fuji GFX 100

My 2c, as someone who has shot a lot of high quality images on Phase backs. For me 16bit worked at 100asa only, and was just just noticeable in darkest shadow discrimination (around 1-8 of 255). And I mean only noticeable by extreme pixel peeping. Anything without deepest shadow detail, I...

Longer lens for view camera (digital + film)

Yes, you are right, you'd need different lenses for digital vs film, for various reasons including: - different resolution requirements - digital is far less forgiving of things like CA - different image circle coverage - differing effective focal lengths. If you want to go digital, you can...

    C1 v9 problem help! :)

Sorry - where in C1 are 'settings' to enable/disable this - I can't find it. thanks. Edit: found it, thanks: Preferences. I wish Phase One would update their 'approved Graphics Card' list a bit. It's very out of date.

Advice on adding 7" monitor to IQ 100

Note that a lot of these finders/viewers are a *lot* bigger than they appear on the web, and larger than we are used to in still photography. Don't get fooled by the pictures, even the smallHD with sidefinder is very large on any regular MF body. With video gear and all their mount/extras, they...

    Customer IQ3-100 delivered!

I have both, but use the Tech cam mostly. Now I have to chase down a good HDMI solution for viewing. It's all very well having live view on the back for composition & focus check, but sometimes that can be a neck/eye strain to get to see.

    Customer IQ3-100 delivered!

Just to say Phase delivered my IQ3-100 on Thursday. I picked it up yesterday. Amazed at the speed of announcement (Sunday) to customer delivery (Thursday) I upgraded because FF CMOS is something I have been waiting for, with its usable 100-800 ISO, and live view/ focus preview. The extra 25%...
