(Belated) Shout out to Ed Hurst

Well deserved for a great contributor to this forum (and others).

Oh dear. Peculiar fabric-like strands on the inside of front and real elements of an SK 120N. Any ideas?

You could use the B+W UV-pro device to sterilize your lenses, if you fear that fungus could develop on your other lenses too.

Question for the experts Hasselblad 300mm HC orange dot

HC300 + TC1,7 => no AF on H6D. So I would be surprised if you could autofocus that on X1D / X2D, even in orange dot version... But that is interesting if you can.

Phase one body and back suggestion for products/portraits

OK, from the video you linked, I understand. The Hasselblad adapter in this video is a different type, and unique to Hasselblad. If you adapt HC system to Fuji, you won't find an equivalent. And in this case it is the contrary of a crop factor ! And yes, the HTS adds some kind of crop factor by...

Phase one body and back suggestion for products/portraits

Hello, Which 110mm are you thinking about for H system ? There is a HC100, and a HC120 macro, but no HC110 that I know (except in the 50-110 zoom). One more thing, I don't follow the crop factor difference you mention in your post : the adapter doesn't add any crop factor on the Fuji (it is...

X shutter alternatives in the future?

Well, Hasselblad. The units are designed and built in Sweden, and shipped to lens builders (Funinon for H lenses, then Nittoh for X lenses, then ...)

Question on Long Telephoto for Hasselblad X2D

Hello Paul, For focal calculations, other have answered already. All HC/HCD lenses have existed with orange dot, but some must be extremely rare, given the short production period. The 300mm is a HC, not HCD, but it doesn't really matter. You lose AF with HC 1.7x converter, even on H bodies...

    Fun with MF images 2024

This one is for Matt Grayson, who shared the idea of buying old wafers to play with macro lenses. I have to admit I was blown away by the level of detail I could get from the HC120 (after careful alignment with the wafer). Wafer_0005 by Sylvain BARTHOLOME, sur Flickr I think you should be...

Digital medium format in 2024 – it's not dead!

HC / HCD lenses were assembled by Fuji (not designed), but not XCD lenses. These were assembled by Nittoh (as for the Xpan) for the 1st generation ; I don't remember for the latest ones, somebody will complete my answer for sure.
