    New Hasselblad XCD 20-35/3.2-4.5

Here's a few from this weekend with the new 20-35. Lots of examples of landscape photos on YouTube, but these are a little bit more of how I'm looking forward to using the lens. Love it so far. :)

    New Hasselblad XCD 20-35/3.2-4.5

Geez .... I'm glad that I'm just a happy idiot who spends absolutely no time pixel peeping into the corners of my photos. The hunt for perfection has to be an endless disappointment. One of the reasons I'm very happy with the X2D is the image stabilization. I can leave home without a tripod...

Thinking about the Hassi XCD2 plus 2-3 lenses

Personally, I love the X2D. It's a joy to use. IMHO it's just as easy to carry around all day as an M is in-hand. The simplicity of the system and the results speak for themselves. In many ways they out-Leica'd Leica in carving out a niche in the cropped medium format market. The S system broke...

    Fun with M11 Monochrom

So far ... love it. Granted my last mono was the M9M which I sold several years ago, but the tones are lovely. I much prefer the latest body to the M10 version. And, to walk in a jazz or blues club near midnight and capture what I visualize ... wonderful.

    Hasselblad X2D and Leica S3 - Update 2: A difficult focus

A quick 100% crop with the 135 of a quail on a branch in the back yard. No sharpening added. The 135 and X2D are a nice combination.

    Hasselblad X2D and Leica S3 - Update 2: A difficult focus

Hi Tom - It is sort of a conundrum. I picked up both the 38 and 55 as I'm not certain which I'll actually use most often. I'm mostly a 21, 35, 50 shooter in 35mm (with the 135 XCD for longer compressed landscapes ... similar to using the 120 quite often on the S). So far, after a few weeks, I...

    Hasselblad X2D and Leica S3 - Update 2: A difficult focus

Have you tried changing the size of the AF point size with the X2D? It's possible that could reduce the amount of hunting with the longer lenses. Perhaps if it is on small, it might find it difficult to find enough contrast quickly to make a focus decision. With the larger AF point size, it...

    Fun with MF images 2022

A few festive holiday riders on the hiking trail. First time out with the 38 ... I think this one is going to be a lot of fun for on-the-go action. :)

    Hasselblad X2D and Leica S3 - Update 2: A difficult focus

Love the new XCD lenses (38 and 55). Quiet, snappy and light. I'd echo the comment that it makes for a very nice shooting experience. As a long-time S user, I'm not certain I'd ever go back. The cost of entry to the Leica S system, slow pace of change, etc. don't meet my expectations (maybe I'm...

    At a crossroads - IQ3100, X2D, M11

I had a P45+ in what seems like a galaxy a long time ago and far, far away. I quickly realized that the whole idea of lugging around a tripod and spending more than 30 seconds in one location just wasn't for me. Since I really enjoyed the look of larger sensors, I gravitated to the S(006) for...
