    Remember you need to have cover to the replacement value normally on a new for old basis, so if the only equivalent new digital back is a IQ4 150, you need £60k+ of cover. Unless you have a policy that is not a "new for old" Make sure you read Policy Documents and avoid being under insured...

    I love the 150mm f2.8 but it is a tank of a lens. also consider if you have enough space in studio to zoom in and out (walk forwards and back) i often have reverted to my 110mm and 80mm just because of space issues

    CI upgrade offer

    I can see a revamped IQ4 happening, but not much more than a few tweaks, see above... adding 10GBE ethernet would be a nice add on. I would suggest P1 is in survival mode, I don't see a big clammer for more resolution or dynamic range and I can't imagine any IQ4 user clients being hassled for it.

    So you have to wake the back up, and then fire the shutter with the pc to 12 pin cable. When I mean wake up, you press the shutter button like in ES mode but it's not. I don't have mine to hand to go though the settings

    changing lensboards - DIY or not?

    I think it boils down to the exact distance between the front node and the rear, I know shims are used to get it spot on to get the sharpest image. I asked my supplier about getting a lens board changed and they said it could be done and quite a cost due to the lens calibration process
