Architecture image editing for high DR

I agree with you. Sometimes, whatever "appropriate" time of day you will choose, still can lead to 6-7 stop dr difference, and then, you have to deal with masks, at the end. If it's a simple widow mask, "no prolemo", but it's a different story when you have dozens of glass pieces, steel...

Freezing T.01 speeds of Broncolor Pack as compared to 2 other brands for product photography

Ben, I have a question to you. How many seconds it takes your Grafit to recharge when you go from higher to lower power levels? On my unit, it's pretty fast as i go up in power, but around 10 -15 seconds if i go lower (either 1/10th or 1 stops). Is it normal?

Architecture image editing for high DR

Got you but it's not in my budget and also it's not an "clever editing/shooting technique" which I'm interested to hear from arch. photographers. If IQ4 150 can bring 6 stops of burned highlights back, or maybe at least 3 from top and 3 from bottom from normal exposure, it's pretty impressive, i...

Architecture image editing for high DR

Hi Paul yes, you are right, sometimes perfect time is enough, not in my case. When I'm shooting an architecture, I'm all day there, so no problem picking best time, but sometimes even that is not enough. In my example, it's a train station, big halls 30/50meters height, you can't light that, and...

Architecture image editing for high DR

Hello Those of you shooting architecture, what blending/hdr - software/manual methods you apply when there is at least 6 stops of DR difference between exterior and interior, and the camera is unable to give high/shad. in post in one shot, and flash is not possible as the space is big.

Lens suggestions for small view camera for digital

Hi Jeff I see that you use Nikon Nikkor SW 65mm f4 S. How it behaves with shifts, LCC/CA needed? Do you know how it compares to the other 2 lenses in that range I mentioned above?

Lens suggestions for small view camera for digital

Thanks Jeff. Actually I do have all pc-e line for my Nikons+all the regular FF lenses(can't use them with view camera with movements), but as I bought "new system" I was interested to know if anyone compared those LF/MF lenses I asked above with movements on Actus and how they behave. Some of...

Lens suggestions for small view camera for digital

Today, while searching for ACB lens boards, I suddenly saw some chinese makers. Their prices a bit lower than the original ones, 120$ for copal 0/1, 230$ for P645 and no one for RZ sadly. I wonder if they are as good as original, or it have to be super precise machining that it's better not to...

Lens suggestions for small view camera for digital

I wonder how these 55mm lens compare in terms of IQ and distortions SMC Pentax 67 55mm F/4 MF Nikkor SW 65mm f/4 I see there is Rodenstock Apo Sironar Digital 55mm F5.6 for 1200$, I assume it's the best option and also the priciest one. Is it noticeably better than the other two?

Lens suggestions for small view camera for digital

Is this option of SK 150mm F/5.6 ENLARGER LENS (500$) a better option than Pentax 645 120mm macro (300$)?

Freezing T.01 speeds of Broncolor Pack as compared to 2 other brands for product photography

I see, the only way to get a "more correct" white balance/less shift, is to lower the flash power, is that what you mean? I sadly don't have colorimeter that measures the t.01 speeds and color /shift. But it will require to deal with that in post.

Freezing T.01 speeds of Broncolor Pack as compared to 2 other brands for product photography

Thanks Ben I was doing a freeze test with vent, the verso and grafit were giving yellow/red tint, grafit in min mode. And what's interesting, in regular mode on grafit, green tint. Even on the fastest settings like 1/7000, and even that the vent was in 2nd speed out of 3, still motion blur on...

Lens suggestions for small view camera for digital

Thanks Rob What is the benefit of mentioned Raf adapter vs the chinese ones you suggested? (either way I need an adapted and retention ring.) Ok, so these fujinon will not allow me movements with 24*36mm or larger sensor. I think I better get one that in future will be usable with movements with...

Lens suggestions for small view camera for digital

Thank you so much Rob. So actually, you are "saving" me from buying additional Copal 0 (wasn't in stock though), and just using my copal 1 lens board to mount leica or copal 0 lenses. I will definitely buy the adapters. Just want to make sure i understand So you gave option to use Leica thread...

Lens suggestions for small view camera for digital

Thanks Rob and John I don't know if I made a mistake, yesterday I bought lens plate for P645 and for copal 1. There was no RZ lens plate in stock. If i buy Pentax 120mm or RZ 140mm macro, the standard bellows will not be sufficient (on standard actus g bellows/rail)? The Fujinon Ex is really...

Lens suggestions for small view camera for digital

Yes, seems like the Pentax 645 120mm or RZ 140mm are safer bet, because my actus have regular lenses and I don't wont to buy additional rails and bellows, more $ and more complicated, With Pentax i know there is a regular focus ring. With RZ 140 macro, i thought there is no such ring and the...

I see. So they are not good for general macro? small subjects like jewelry(as they are not flat) and bigger subjects like a vodka bottle?

Lens suggestions for small view camera for digital

Anyone knows this lens? It's performance compared to pentax 645 120mm macro. Some said it's a reproduction and not enlarging lens. Have no idea what it means, but sells for same price as pentax one.
