    Sony A1 powerhouse

To me the most important reasons why I upgraded from A7r4 are: The viewfinder which in the A1 it’s really great! The AF is gorgeous, I use Af with rear button and I set 3 different buttons for the AF, 1 for the normal af, one for tracking and one for eye af, so I can chose the af mode very...

    Anyone using the Rodenstock 23mm?

I own the 23 along with the 32 and the 70 for my XT. If I make 100 then I would say that 70% of my pictures are with the 32, 25% withe the 70 and 5% with the 23. This because I have not used my camera a lot in interiors where the 23 is really useful. I use center ND filters with the 23 and also...

    Phase One Feature Update 8

I am not so enthusiastic about ETTR function for 2 reasons: 1) how will the automatism understand if a high light is a specular one or not? 2) using a wide angle lens like the 23 or the 32 as the IQ4 can't count the LCC profile to compensate the light fall-off that will be used in C1 there is...

    Phase One XT

I did not tried the shade but I don’t think it is very useful because the problem in the sun it’s not only the light from the surrounding but the biggest problem are reflections (the story of the d T-shirt it’s not a joke). I use a a similar application from Alpa which helps me to determinate...

    Phase One XT

I have the XT since march with 23,32 and 70. I use it for my architectural and landscape work and it's the best camera I ever used. I keep it in my back pack with some spare batteries, centered filters and compendium. The results are stunning and the ease of use is really great I have only 2...

Any experiences with the Arca Cube C1 gp (geared panning) FlipLock in rough landscape photography?

When I said “classic “ I was referring to the camera lock. I preferred that “old” solution instead of the “flip lock” because I am used to this. I agree that geared Pan is not “must have “ but is useful specially because I often carry my XT on the tripod and if I use geared pan I can’t forget to...

Any experiences with the Arca Cube C1 gp (geared panning) FlipLock in rough landscape photography?

Just got my cube C1 GP classic. I don't think a ball head is quicker if you want to be precise. I worked with ball head and I wested a lot of time because every time I wanted to pan a bit I have to do all the work again. With the cube it is another life! Lorenzo
