    X2DII 100C Availability

Looks like the EU store either sold out quick or did not get them in stock. Shows sold out currently. Paul

Sorry. I meant URL for the North America Hasselblad store. Not sure why I asked for the IP address Paul

    X2DII 100C Availability

Currently the Hasselblad.com store won’t even allow for a in stock email update. It appears that option is gone. This is for the 35-100. Curious what IP address did you use for the Hasselblad North America store? All I have ever found is the store option under Hasselblad.com Paul

    Hasselblad XCD 20-35mm sharpness

I found the 21mm just a bit soft in the corners. Again might just be copy variations. Other thing is the aperture effect on the sun for a sun star. Since all Hasselblad apertures and shutters are 8 blades you get a very striking star of Bethlehem look. Much more noticeable with the 21mm. The...

    Hasselblad XCD 20-35mm sharpness

Yes. In fact I found it sharper than the 21mm I briefly owned especially in the corners. My only issue with the 20-35 is flare. On my lens whenever I use it in a sunrise/set shoot it develops a green color cast in the lower right corner. Phocus removes some of it Lr cannot and when you select...

L Bracket for the X2D II

The problem with the Arca universal is that it has no catch front or back thus over time the camera will move sideways. Especially if you go vertically or use a heavy lens. At least this my experience with it in both the X2D and SL3. It’s also as previously mentioned quite heavy. Paul

Mounting SK lenses to Arca-Swiss Pico

Does the Cambo allow use of the X2D? The pico does. To the OP. You can get more info here. https://arca-swiss-usa.com/?srsltid=AfmBOooVafyGdKlqATZCMvr3p8qI2IFgKITqgmO2wM-zBEx3afJyjSMM Rod Klukas is the USA Rep for Arca. He will answer any questions on mounting etc. Paul

    X2D II today…

Paul, I hear what. you are saying, but have to disagree to some level. This is a pattern of release, not available from Hasselblad since the original X1D, it was released and it took over 1 year to become readily available. At the time, Fuji already had a 100MP camera out the GX100, (not the...

Cable release alternative for CFV-100c (and possibly X1D / X2D II)

And the original release from Hasselblad is still nowhere to be found. They allow for a port to use a remote, (I assume based on user feedback) but somehow fail to produce any when the new camera is released. Paul

    X2D II today…

Hasselblad seems to always take one step forward 2 steps back with new products. The 35-100 drama follows all the supply drama mod 2024 and 1st half of 2025 with the V series. Each was announced with no supply. The 90V was by far the worst taking over a year to become readily available. Only the...

    Nightime composition on X2D

The 25V is a better solution if you are looking to use a Hasselblad lens, as it does have a manual focus ability with an infinity symbol with the MF clutch. unlike the other ultra wides from Hasselblad. It will at least get you started much closer to infinity for night work, and gives you a...

PSA concerning CF Express Cards with Hasselblad X1D/X2D Series

Interesting. I normally use the 1TB OWC card in my X2D. So far no issues. However I checked its thickness against a OWC 512GB AND scandal 256GB. They are all the same thickness measured with a digital caliper. Wonder if the issue on the card over 512 GB is due to heat? All CFe cards seem to get...

When are we going to see the X2D II back in stock

The Hasselblad main site has had 2 main releases of the 35-100, I was on both notifications but did not make it to the site in time. It's also interesting to see that maybe Hasselblad has changed their delivery system to give smaller dealers more inventory than the large shops (in the US) as...

The Sound of Hasselblad Leaf Shutters

I can’t speak to the 35-100 as it’s apparently another Hasselblad lens made in very limited quantities. The 20-35 shutter is just a slight click compared to the 35-75 or other generation 1 XCD lenses. I sometimes think the shutter is not working on the 20-35 as it sounds nothing like the older...

    Phocus 4.0

Besides the changes to how 4.01 is working with the 3FR files, i.e. no more .fff on import, I have not seen any difference. Besides the helpful copying of the manual by Techtalk, there is no difference in how the recovery feature works on either version. As you mentioned, you can either use it...

Tariffs and the future of MFD

Ya think? It’s for sure. this about the 4th it’s been done. Just follow his stupid announcements and the 24 hours later the turn around. Shorter in the know would kill it. Just another example of not making America great again. Paul

    Updating my Arca Swiss Factum…

The 35XL will not like more movement. Non BSI. I can’t imagine getting 20mm of shift without very very harsh color cast. Which can be corrected some with LCC. But 30mm I believe you will be beyond the limits of that lens with 100mp or more. Paul

AF Performance, or the lack of thereof if old lenses on the X2D II

It is always interesting to me how results vary by user. I just returned from a trip to CO and was lucky enough to borrow a X2Dmkii from a fellow photographer. I used exclusively the older XCD lenses except the 20-35. No issues. Period. 35-75, 135 with and without TC, 21mm (rented) due to flare...

    Hasselblad XCD 20-35mm lens

Processing in Phocus and Adobe, The Phocus corrections I used were from 3.8.4, they may have improved since with 4.0.1, I agree the Lr lens corrections on this lens are not good. Phocus 3.8.4 did a bit better, The flare was my main concern. Paul
