USB Tethered Workflow, using both Phocus & Phocus Mobile (2?)

Thanks for the feedback, guys. Yes, I was referring to the Wi-Fi connection via Phocus Mobile 2. Hearing that it works smoothly for you is actually great news: it confirms that the bottleneck in my test was likely the older hardware I used. Based on this, I’ll start looking for an iPad Mini...

USB Tethered Workflow, using both Phocus & Phocus Mobile (2?)

Thanks for the detailed list of devices Marco, that helps a lot. To be clear, I absolutely agree on the workflow: I work exclusively on a tripod, and every shot is a slow, deliberate process. I don't need 60fps video fluidity. However, with the iPad 8 I tested, the issue wasn't just a low...

USB Tethered Workflow, using both Phocus & Phocus Mobile (2?)

Thanks for the feedback. It’s interesting that you aren’t experiencing lag. Just to give you a complete picture, I’ve tested this workflow on three different devices, and my results vary wildly: Mac (Tethered): On my Mac Mini M2 Pro (maxed out specs), it works perfectly via cable. Zero lag...

USB Tethered Workflow, using both Phocus & Phocus Mobile (2?)

Hi everyone, Just a quick follow-up after my latest exchange with Hasselblad Support regarding the 907X & CFV 100C, external monitors and iPad use. After sharing all my tests with them (different USB-C cables, including a high‑quality USB4/Thunderbolt 4 one, portable monitor both bus‑powered and...

USB Tethered Workflow, using both Phocus & Phocus Mobile (2?)

Hi everyone, Just a quick update on my side. I've spent some time conducting several tests trying to get the external USB-C monitor to work with the CFV 100c, but unfortunately, I haven't had any luck yet. I tried different powering configurations and cables, but still no signal. I have just...

USB Tethered Workflow, using both Phocus & Phocus Mobile (2?)

Good morning, Hasselblad support replied to me, here is what they say: "Thank you for contacting Hasselblad Support. We are pleased to assist you with your inquiry regarding portable tethering and external monitor options for the 907X and CFV 100C. Please find our detailed responses below...

Ciao from Tuscany! Interior & Architectural Photographer here!!

True, sharpness and practically nonexistent distortion are its strong points. It's a very challenging lens to use — it requires a lot of patience, but if you commit to it, it produces images that are hard to replicate with other lenses.

Ciao from Tuscany! Interior & Architectural Photographer here!!

Thanks Rod! The photo was taken with the Hasselblad CFV 100C. Before this back I used it with the 50C II but it’s unusable. PS: the photo was taken without the central filter.

Options for long focal length lenses on a small tech camera

Hi, I have a doubt: is the bag bellows for the TCS20 actually a soft pillow bellows, or is it just like the normal one but with a single wider fold? I can’t find it on the site. Thank you.

USB Tethered Workflow, using both Phocus & Phocus Mobile (2?)

Hi John, Thank you for testing and for the update! Yes, the documentation is indeed quite confusing. I actually reached out to official support for clarification as well—let’s see what they say. Regarding your issue with the cable connection, it might be due to the USB-C speed of your...

Ciao from Tuscany! Interior & Architectural Photographer here!!

Ciao Paul, greetings to Zurich! Thank you for the warm welcome. Regarding my kit, here is my current setup: Lenses: Schneider 24mm Digitar XL: I keep the center filter permanently attached. It’s a beautiful lens, but in my opinion, the image circle is quite limited for extensive movements...

USB Tethered Workflow, using both Phocus & Phocus Mobile (2?)

Hi John, Thanks so much for the feedback! I'll definitely test it with an iPad. I tried with my iPhone 13 mini but the small screen and some lag made it tricky – probably just my older phone though! Very curious about your USB-C test results. Thanks again! Damiano

USB Tethered Workflow, using both Phocus & Phocus Mobile (2?)

Hi John, Just a quick question as I'm in a similar situation: I already own the 907X CFV 100C and I'm considering buying an iPad to use specifically as an external monitor. However, I really want to avoid relying on Wi-Fi for stability reasons. Is it possible to connect the CFV 100C directly...
