    Suggestion for first 8x10 camera

The Wehman is a fun camera as well. Another camera clearly build from the McMaster parts catalog. Makes fixing them super easy.

    Price Temperature on SK 60XL

Correct, I am not talking about value which is dependent on the individual. I think of it like buying a used car, if you have reference points of used sales it helps establish a sense of range for yourself. I ended up buying a copy of the lens today for 4500 without CF. lens mounted in a copal.

    Suggestion for first 8x10 camera

Sneaky nice camera is the Kodak View Master but lens boards are expensive and rare. Adapters can be made by Sk Grimes.

    Price Temperature on SK 60XL

These don't come up often and I'm struggling to find historical or recent sales to compare. I understand the merits of the lens. I'm just asking what you think is fair in 2026.

    Hasselblad Pricing on B&H

I was looking to get a GFX 100sII. My discount is 5200. Seems like KEH has EX+ MK1's for roughly 4700. That changes my feelings.

    Hasselblad Pricing on B&H

I run a photo department and as such we have this BH b2b account and as a non profit we also benefit from tax free purchases. I can't explain their discount pricing strategies because some Hassy lenses will be 5 dollars off retail while another lens is discounted by 900 bucks.

    Hasselblad Pricing on B&H

I have a BH B2B account which gives me some unexplainable discounts of hundreds of dollars on some items while others it's mere Pennie's. However, this one made me really scratch my head. Edit: sorry my screenshot won't load. X2D : 7615.08 (in stock) X2D II: 6872.19 (out of stock , filled in...

    The Difference Is Creative Intent

I think where I struggle is : 1.)declaring your intentions. 2.) historical comparison 3.) hobby vs professional (less so actual real world income and more so a "professional" approach to art from an effort perspective). 4.) gatekeeping vs keeping yourself back. Related to 1, if photography...

Canon TS-E on Fuji GFX 100s II with Viltrox Pro Adapter

Unfortunately my experiment with the Viltrox V2 (EF to E) on my A7RV did not work. I had aperture control like 30% of the time. It kept losing connection. Glad to know it works on the GFX version.

    Suggestion for first 8x10 camera

Ultimate utilitarian camera: Richard Ritter. I have his 11x14 and it works but it's put together by a master woodworker who loves using stuff you can grab at your local hardware store. Which is awesome when something loosens and you lose a small piece.

    Suggestion for first 8x10 camera

I've used them all. AS is the absolute king for movements and accuracy when you get orbix. The issue for me always boiled down to portability. Bringing it into the field just becomes a hassle and with exposed bellows you're always being mindful of any aspect of your pack rubbing it. However...
