Great stuff, K-H. Loved the hummer/mantis stand off pics:thumbs:
Many thanks gandolfi for the feedback, much appreciated.

Yup, that was a rare event seeing that Praying Mantis climb down from the Acacia tree onto the Hummingbird feeder for several days in a row, waiting for its prey to get close enough, striking with lightning speed, consuming a Bee or feeding on a Hummingbird it had killed, and then climbing slowly back into the tree with rocking motion.

Amazing to watch from a distance. It would notice if one got too close and climb back into the tree right away and hide there among the leaves.

Yup and overall speed! :salute:

The A9 line, including A9 II sensor, is now 3+ years old.
I would hope the new camera builds and improves on the A9 line and not the A7 (r,s) line. Those are really vastly different animals.

A global electronic shutter or close to it would be a really nice touch that hopefully could lead to the elimination of the need for a mechanical shutter. Blackout free EVF is another feature I would not be willing to give up. Surely IBIS and particularly AF should be possible to be improved even further. How about doubling or quadrupling high ISO performance?

Sony needs to raise the stacks by introducing new unique superior technical features nobody has offered so far.

That would also get them ready for the Olympics that have been delayed until next year.

Trip Down Memory Lane 13

An image of the Santa Fe Ski Area from ~25 mile distant White Rock, in Color and B&W, taken on 2012-02-04 with NEX-5N + Adapter NEX-R + three Leica APO Extender-R (1.4+2+2)x + Adapter R-V 14127 + Leitz 560/5.6 Telyt, resulting in an 135 film equivalent focal length of 1.5*1.4*2*2*560 mm = 4.704 m.

Image of the system used, but of course on a sturdier tripod than the one shown here.

Nikon D3 + Leitz 65/3.5 Elmar, stopped way down. :facesmack:

Sony says that the sensor reads out twice as fast as on the a7S II, which considerably reduces rolling shutter.
Is it any good or good enough yet for your hummers, K-H ?
