Thank you Bart, sometimes I get a bit lucky.
Shutter speed was high enough.
But I didn't have tracking on.
Lock on sensitivity wasn't set high enough either.
However the Northern Flicker cooperated by flying parallel to my position.
Luckily I pushed the shutter button at the right moment.
Sony needs to implement an Olympus feature where you record only into the buffer.
When releasing the shutter button then it saves the last second or so worth of images.
I really was set up for shooting Hummers when the Northern Flicker showed up. ;)

Now this.

Cottonwoods are beginning to turn Colors in the "Land of Enchantment".


Down by the Rio Grande, Sand Banks barely under water.




A fully developed Sand Bank, right after the spot where Santa Fe takes out water for 50,000 people.

Sony ILCE-1 + FE 400mm F2.8 GM OSS.

Black Mesa.

About the Rio Grande, after that intake point it should be called Rio Pequeño, no ?

We have been living in our house now for 31 years.
The bird populations change with the seasons and with the years.
Ahead of time one can never tell which birds will show up in massive numbers, if any.
