Anyone here used the ZHIYUN X200?

I’ve been thinking about getting a new light for small studio shoots and short video projects, and I came across the ZHIYUN X200.

It looks pretty good, but I've never used any ZHIYUN lights before. Also not gonna lie, it’s kinda expensive, so I’m still unsure if it's worth it.

Then I saw they're doing a Christmas giveaway on Instagram and the X200 is one of the prizes (plus some other stuff). Thought I might just give it a try and see what happens before spending that much money.

Has anyone here used their lights? Any thoughts?

I too often lie awake at night wondering: Should I spend a lot of money on a light I’ve never used… or should I casually mention a Christmas giveaway while asking if anyone here has thoughts? Truly the great philosophical dilemma of our time.

I haven’t used the ZHIYUN X200, but I have used forums long enough to notice when a brand’s marketing department puts on a fake mustache and says, “Hello fellow photographers, what do you think of this extremely specific product I am definitely not affiliated with?”

That said—if you win the giveaway, it’s the best light ever made. If you don’t, it’s wildly overpriced and you should buy used gear from the classifieds like the rest of us. That’s just science.
