Two problem-free sessions: yesterday 98 shots (w/ visoflex-2) and today 96 shots.
I haven’t checked on my camera yet but did they fix connection to the Fotos App while using the Visoflex 2 with the new firmware?

I am afraid that issue was not on their to-do list, Tre.
Used the Foto App only once just to see if it works (and it did), but not at the same time with the Visoflex-2.

1499 Euro for the Max upgrade, but it is already sold out. I'll keep this on the back burner for now.

đź’ˇ useful rangefinder tips&tricks by David Farkas (RDF)

Thanks for sharing Bart, useful video with some good tips and training.

A "hardware" trick that increase my accuracy of using the rangefinder was getting a +1 diopter correction lens for the viewfinder which makes the split image "pop" into place much better.

I borrowed one from a friend because I wanted to test the principle before buying (it's Leica priced ) but for me it makes a big difference and I finally bought two, one for the M240 and one for the M246M.

I'm pleased you liked the video, despite my previous life with rangefinders I still found it very instructive.

My prescription is +2 (and a mild cylinder) and I can barely see the focusing patch 'popping' into focus.
The M cameras are said to have -0.5 diopter and you found benefit from a +1.0 diopter.
So what is your prescription then, Pieter ? +0.5 ?

Always found this pretty confusing stuff ...
Anyway, best thing to do is to try some in the Leica store here in Amsterdam.

I have ~ -2 and a strong cylinder, but I'm using the rangefinder with my glasses on. So basically I'm changing the default Leica -0,5 to +0,5 for the corrected vision through my glasses and find this change very beneficial for seeing the patch "pop" or "sit" much better. My number of failed photos due to the wrong focus setting decreased quite consirably, but is still worse compared to the magnified view manual focussing I do with my Sony cameras.

Good plan, try different ones and see which one works best for you (if any). The +1 was an eye opener for me but I guess a lot depends on your specific eye condition and if you use the rangefinder with or without your glasses on.
