Indeed it is a fascinating building. Unfortunately it is under renovation, like 90% of Berlin's building right now.
Moreover, there are trees everywhere around, so finding the right spot is not easy.

I went there with a clear idea in mind: making a geometrical pattern by only framing the colored windows and balconies.

This is a full image I took from that very same spot and which I developed with a different (less saturated) mood that I tend to prefer:
