My daughters in-laws sent flowers for Christmas, so it seemed like an opportunity to try the 9mm extension tube on the X2D with 25mm. I plan to try my adapted Pentax macro tonight and compare. I did not take the time to focus stack, just single images on each.

Here is a similar shot as above except this time it was a single shot with the Pentax 120mm macro adapted to the X2D II. The Pentax offers a more comfortable working distance, however, I would really like a 1:1 macro solution that is not manual for purposes of focus stacking. Also, I processed these files in Hasselblad Phocus for color then exported at tiff's. I much prefer the red out of Phocus vs Lightroom on the earlier image.

Nice macros. I very much prefer the more nuanced Pentax rendering.

@mristuccia: Hey Marco, if you have a little time left on your way back to Berlin, you could stop in my region, Wetterau, wich is 40km east of Frankfurt, or we could meet up in Frankfurt for some architecture if you are interested.

Christmas trip with my son to the Senckenberg Museum in Frankfurt. We go there regularly, it's just an amazing museum and a nice trip overall. From small village to the big city. With dinosaurs, skyscrapers and everything...

Hey @Lorenz(X), thank you very much for the kind invitation. That would have been super nice, but unfortunately I'm already back in Berlin.
I'd like to visit Frankfurt "photographically" sooner or later. So, if you live in that area, I'll let you know when I'll be there again so we can meet and do some architecture photography together.

That sounds good Marco. In live pretty close to Frankfurt so meeting there would be nice. And if I visit Berlin I will contact you. My brother lives there with his family..
