I was playing about with the 907x/CFVII 50c yesterday and decided to experiment with my ancient, very cheap Sigma 600mm f/8 mirror lens. It's a Nikon F mount lens; I have a Nikon F to Leica M mount adapter, and I have a Leica M to Hasselblad X mount adapter... I know the longer lenses tend to vignette a bit when adapted through M-mount (due to its small diameter) but I said, what the heck? Let's see what we can get. I figured I could crop to square and clip off the vignetting...

I set it up on the tripod and figured I'd just play with some still life stuff around the house. Reviewing the captures out of this lens, a dozen looked fairly satisfying ...
here are two:

Wine Bottle - Santa Clara 2025
Hasselblad 907x/CFVII 50c + Sigma 600mm f/8
ISO 100 @ f/8 @ 49 sec

Holiday Light - Santa Clara 2025
Hasselblad 907x/CFVII 50c + Sigma 600mm f/8
ISO 100 @ f/8 @ 49 sec

I haven't annotated/processed to completion the other ten yet, but I did assemble the rendered photos into a short video:

Video collection of 12 shots:

I'm happy with the experiment. It's not a lens I have used, or will use, all that much, but to see it performs at this level on the Hasselblad lets my imagination go in new directions. :D

Enjoy! G

A couple from a stint I did hanging out with my son and the Christchurch paragliding community (NZ) at their Taylors Mistake launch site. Both are using my GFX 100s/F-Universalis, the first with a Grandagon-N 65mm and the second with an S-K Apo Symmar 150mm. Not really an ideal setup for action photography, but I'd been fiddling with setup for a couple of lenses and this was an opportunity to give them a spin.

It might be my eyes, but do I detect just a hair too much magenta in the foreground bark and small branches of the Hamsterley Forest scene?
