Just a word for all of you who have posted Leica Monochrom images on this thread: Excellent!!👍👍👍

But then you know that already, right? 😃

I have been researching more about the four models of Leica Monochrom cameras so far and I am liking what I see here. Thank you all for posting your work here.

I am again immersing myself in film B/W images lately and I am finding that my long-term passion with black and white film is still there. So I’m working toward learning more about the Leica Monochrom offerings.

For now I’m very happy with the Leica M2 and my preferred B/W films. The process of film photography is most appealing to me. I can also see the allure of using both digital and film M bodies, not just one or the other. Dare I dream of having one of each in my Billingham bag as I move forward in my work?🤔 After all, I am considering a re-start of our previous work before the pandemic.

Anyway, just wanted to thank you guys for your inspiring photos. Keep posting!🙂

Great, Dave! The probably most underrated (read: most attractively priced) Mono body is the M type 246. Got the CMOS sensor so no corrosion trouble and still an excellent camera. Just know that there is zero head room when it comes to highlights (and, technically, shadows as well). Gone is gone. Expose for the highlights is your friend. In practice for me that is not an issue.
