There are many professionals and semi-professionals in the community who share valuable information and ideas and don’t have time to deal with individuals who hide behind the curtain of an anonymous internet persona. Please be respectful and upload your real image and use at least your first name during the interactions. Let’s get to know each other as we would do in real life. The team at GETDPI.com will screen all new members carefully and if attempts to hide identity coincide with any unusual behaviour, the account will be deleted without warning.

When posting an image to the group or starting a discussion, please consider sharing some context, challenges, storyline, etc. When you ask questions please formulate them clearly and respectfully. Before starting a new thread make sure you don’t replicate existing threads.

The posting of artistic nude photography is allowed but pornographic or distasteful imagery does not have a place in this group. The admins will monitor such images and delete any that are deemed inappropriate.
BE NICE
All lewd and distasteful comments made about any photo will be deleted and the commenter will be blocked from the group, without exception. As this is a supportive place for people to grow photographically, we expect all members to interact with admins and other members in a polite and respectful manner. Personal attacks and derogatory comments (racist, sexist, homophobic or otherwise) do not have a place here and will be deleted; you will be blocked from the group.
YOU WANT A DRINK? HEAD TO OUR “SUNSET BAR” BUT DON’T START A FIGHT
Remember to keep the discussion polite, fun and on topic. Act like you would at a friend's dinner party. Note that broader topical and emotional latitude is tolerated in the "Sunset Bar" forum, but decisions the appropriateness of threads and posts remain at moderator discretion.
SORRY, NO TOLERANCE OF ABUSIVE BEHAVIOUR
All decisions made by the admins regarding the deleting of unsuitable comments or images, or the blocking of members who clearly disregard the rules of the group, are made at their discretion for the good of the whole community.

Please contact the management for the variety of opportunities to present or introduce your product or services to the community. Possibilities are available for cross-platform advertising, promotion and much more.
Mentioning services or products of your own could be viewed in the same light as SPAM so please avoid direct linking. Having said that, you are welcome to post links to third-party articles, posts or even products but only if they are relevant to the GetDPI.com community AND fit the context of a discussion. We realize this is a "grey area," and although we believe the majority of our members will not abuse this, the moderators have full discretion to delete, edit or ban as they deem fit.

Photographers should refrain from advertising and mentioning their commercial workshops/prints/services in regular threads. Turn your attention instead to the MEMBERS’ WORKSHOPS AND SERVICES section where such announcements can be made. A voluntary donation would be appreciated to support the site.

Buy & Sell or FS and WTB. Note that implementation of the new B&S has eliminated the need for a lot of the policing we had to do with the old B&S, so now some things are different. Basically, anything you want to sell can be listed here, including commercial equipment and services. However, we expect ALL items or services to be clearly labelled in the ad topline. If we have problems here, we will delete an ad without comment. You can have as many ads running at a time as you want. In fact, you can even link to another site you're selling from if you desire. That's about it. Photos of your gear are of course fine to include and, in most cases, will help the item sell more quickly. As always, GetDPI.com site owners make no guarantees about the veracity of the posters or accuracy of the items listed for sale. Furthermore, by using the B&S you agree that the USE OF THE BUY & SELL FORUM IS AT YOUR OWN RISK!
