Hasselblad 100C masking

I assume this applies to the X100 as well. I have neither, but am considering a 907x/100C. I understand you can set a masked aspect ratio of 1:1 and XPan (1:3?). I assume the screen is masked to compose in those formats, and probably any jpeg that is generated. My questions is does the raw file get masked as well, or is the entire image usable?

The entire RAW image is usable. If you shoot JPEG, the JPEG is cropped to the mask.

The raw contains cropping information that is automatically applied in the post-processor. You can change the crop in the post.
