Hasselblad look and color with Leica SL3?

I've already said that I owned both an SL2 and M11 and had used the EVF on the M11 and the SL2 with the M adapter and confused this fact ...
I know, I was just explaining why the SL doesn't work the same way. I was rather surprised you could be confused when you seemed so sure of yourself earlier ("used the feature everyday for years", etc).

Yes I sold both a long time ago and have really confused it since it was a while - and I really used the M with the EVF lot as well as the SL2. I had sold everything assuming the S4 would be launched by now, but it is my understanding now that after the tariffs situation the S4 project has been delayed with no updated ETA which is why the X2D becomes a real option ...

I think all energy at Leica is now focused on getting the next M out of the door ...

dont you guys feel electronic shuter very limiting for M lenses on x2d(II)?
Except some special noctilux look I would prefer xcd lenses all day long, same for sl lenses prefered on sl bodies, with maybe some exceptions.

I shoot regularly with an electronic shutter on my X2D, even with XCD lenses.

I do feel the need for a mechanical shutter while shooting handheld. But I am on the 907x CFV100c.

For now I wont get out of the sl system, even though I plan to use the hassy more often than before.
I might exchange the sl3 for a sl3-s though To gain a little more speed over the sl3.

Tom - I think that's an unknown for the moment. When there is no IBIS, handheld shots with ES is dicey at best. But now, add in Hasselblad's IBIS and those small micro movements go away (in theory). There are other variables - does the X2D II have a field where the user can enter the focal length for adapted lenses? This feeds into the
IBIS algorithm. Another variable that will factor into M lens performance is the thickness of the X2D II sensor's top glass. That thickness should be a known quantity since it likely didn't change relative to the X2D (or even the prior X bodies). If the top glass is thicker than 2mm, it will impair the M lens performance to some degree. I think Leica's target on a M body is ~1.7 or 1.8mm.

When I had the CFV back, using electronic shutter in delicate locations (museums, galleries) was about 70-80º effective. With the X2D, it was not so good, until @flash outlined that changing from 16 bit to 14 bit sped up the read out speed on the sensor (~half) and then its very successful, once again. So using M lenses, or any others, can be done easily enough. And there isn't much difference between 14 and 16 bit.

Well for M glass adaptation the best path is probably to stick with an SL3; but let's say someone is pondering buying an SL3 or Hassy X2D just from the viewpoint of getting great IQ - the Hassy is quite appealing for the SAME price given it has a MF chip
