Have a Phase One XF? You might be constipated!

Phase One tends toward video tutorials if searching for info online. I personally don’t like that…I can read faster than I can hear someone reading, and I generally am just looking for a specific steaming nugget of wisdom, so sitting through minutes of smooth jazz intro music and cleverly built titles to tell me what the video is aboutjust slows me down.

Today, I needed to look up the specific info re: at what serial number did the focus Screen installation change, and verify installation technique to install my new Bright Screen! Split Prism and Microprism! Gridlines! Focusing screen. (Yes, I am excited to install peak 1980s functionality in this camera!)

of course, because it is on YouTube, you get a commercial first….it was from some natural “Colon Health” supplement/regime - mind you, I have not searched for info on this subject at all on internet at all, ever. Searches for flange distances for weird lenses, and interop of Harley parts, sure…

I hit skip, get the video (which does NOT have the serial number info I know exists) and I let the you tube roll on my iPad while I swap the screen in. Next video is on HDMI usage on an IQ4….but first, 2 more commercials, BOTH for some other organic CoLon-Blow. My only assumption is that the Al Gore Rhythm has identified that XF owners tend to suffer from gastrointestinal distress.

The ads are typically personalized to the user watching the videos :ROFLMAO:.
You can try watching it in Incognito mode to see untargetted ads.
Personally, I use YouTube too much to watch ads, and therefore, I am paying for a subscription.

YouTube can be a wonderful tool at times and Google knows it and they also know how to really piss off a viewer when they see a set amount of activity. Google remembers everything!! So, like you, I have also paid for a subscription. I don't get any Colon-Blow ads - or for that matter any ads.

I’m not paying a subscription although youtube seems to think I am a billionaire … all the commercials I ever receive are about investment counseling and mostly from the same company … maybe it’s better than constipation pills …
