How about more and more fun with Leica M? (Film)

On a photo walk the other day with the Leica M2 and decided to get some quick snaps of the local houses in the historic district which is a mixture of Aarchitectural styles from the mid-1800s to the early 1900s in this area of our little town. Generally it is a mixture of large antebellum homes and smaller newer homes that were built for the middle class moving into the area.

An old friend and I started discussing the possible purchase of IR-converted cameras (again..)
But after a while he started pointing out to me that I should try IR film in my analog camera. He has extensive experience with this. And since I am easily led astray, it wasn't long before I bought 30.5 meters of Rollei Infrared ISO 400 and rolled a number of film cassettes. Then I bought a number of HOYA R72 Infrared filters for my lenses. And finaly it was time to go out into the sun.
The first lesson was that it is not very suitable to just rely on a light meter with a 45 degree measuring angle.
In mixed lighting, the highlights are significantly overexposed.
Here it is better with a spot meter.
And as always, R09 was used with constant agitation when developing.
I must admit that this exercise gave me a taste for more.
Now all that is missing is sun..
