Can someone tell me how I can view the thumbnails of some videos I shot. I want to convert some of them to view on my ipad, and can use handbrake to convert, but I can't tell which is which because of no thumbnails. BTW, I'm using Windows XP.

Thanx--

Hi Don,
Camera is Panasonic ZS7. Record mode is "AVCHD lite" SH quality.

There are alot of small clips of my daughter playing softball and I'd like to find certain one's I've converted for my itouch and reconvert those for my ipad.

Thanx if you can help me.

I just did a Google on "AVCHD lite" and found several articles.

The following is from the first article on the page from http://suburbia.org.uk:
Why can't I edit AVCHD Lite in iMovie or Final Cut?
AVCHD Lite throws a spanner in the works because many of the existing AVCHD editing packages are incapable of supporting it without an update to the software. At the time of writing none of Apple's video editing applications such as iMovie, Final Cut Pro or Express support the AVCHD Lite format. Adobe's Premiere and Premiere Elements applications also do not appear to support AVCHD Lite at this time.
The only solution for AVCHD Lite on Mac OS X at the moment is the one that saved many an early adopter like myself a couple of years or so ago when AVCHD cameras first came out - VoltaicHD by Shedworx. This is a $35 app that will convert your AVCHD Lite footage to the Apple Intermediate Codec format that can then be used in any of Apple's video editing applications.
Hope this helps you out.

My last post has been bugging me however I haven't had the time to actually expand on it.

I've been using WinFF for better part of a year and have found it fitting my needs for the occasional video we post on our blog via YouTube. Suggest going here for full information.

Hope this helps.

Still a little bit confused by it all.

Basically, here is what I want to do. I have a bunch of clips in a folder. I would like to see thumbnails of the clips so I can choose certain ones to convert to view on my ipad. I have done this with some vid clips I took of my daughter's recent softball games. But this time I viewed the videos in the camera and took notice of where they were in order. Handbrake does a great job of converting the mts files so I'm happy with it. I just need to see thumbnails of which clips I want to reconvert to view on the ipad!

Thanx--Bill

okay much clearer now. Not sure I can help you out with this as I normally just convert all the images in a batch then bring them up using CS5 bridge that way I can see a thumbnail.

Good Luck!

I may just have to do that in Handbrake! Archive what I don't want now.

Thanx for trying to help though.
