This shows bad taste and possibly, as my wife insists, a rapidly advancing senility. However, it is definitely unlike anything else I have done and going outside my comfort zone was the point. I already regret posting it.

@JeffK thanks for the comment, and for the links. Actually, i am trying to build a series around everyday objects arranged to tell a story. Another example is https://forum.getdpi.com/forum/index.php?threads/fun-with-mf-images-2024.75545/page-29#post-905445

@Shashin, no not bored. This is a compromising topic, but is it a bad photo? The lighting is good and the lines (or curves or whatever) are eye catching. Technically, it is not bad. Is a competent photo of junk (pun intended) a bad photo? How bad does the subject have to be before it ruins the photo? Many of my photos ask that question (eg the "boring" thread, https://forum.getdpi.com/forum/index.php?threads/fun-with-mf-images-2024.75545/page-94#post-917133). Clearly, I could never sell stuff like this, but no day is slow if I keep learning.

Everyone else, if I raised a smile it was worth the embarrassment.

I was just imagining you with nothing to do and so you hit on the idea of cleaning the bathroom, before being inspired to photograph what you found. Given your wife's reaction, I just thought she might have wanted you to stop at the cleaning part.

As far as the image, if you enjoy it, does it matter what people think? But this is not the first bathroom inspired work, Marcel Duchamp and Edward Weston come to mind.
