problem with GFX tripod collar

Hi Guys, I wonder if any of you have had this problem. My H Adapter G Tripod Collar which came with the adapter has somehow suffered from peeling of the material lining the insides. This material allows the smooth rotation of the lens to allow it to swiftly change from portrait to landscape and vice versa. After a couple of years of use, the material has peeled off, and the glue make a mess all over. It tends to bind the adapter to the collar.



I contacted Fujifilm where I live, and they told me that the solution is to buy another tripod collar! What a waste! Also I don't think this is a solution for what is clear to me a poor choice of material in their design. Anyone else have had this problem and if so, how did you solve it?

As the probably heavy lens lens and H-adapter are now 'dangling', wouldn't it put strain to the camera mount ?

I'm replying to an old post, but this may help others who have experienced this issue with Fujifilm tripod collars. I had the same issue with the collar on my GF 100-200mm f/5.6 lens. I contacted Fujifilm about it, and they replaced the collar as a one-time courtesy. The lens was well outside the normal warranty period, but the person I spoke with at Fujifilm North America made it sound like they were very familiar with this problem.

replying to myself…I bought this. Not useful. It is very difficult and inconvenient to mount and dismount lenses. If you have only lens to shoot either portrait or landscape, it works fine.
