Reccomendations needed for a good cable release

I am absolutely sick of cable releases lasting for less time than I think they should last! I am primarily using them with my 503cx and long exposures.
I would say that I treat my gear very gently but for some reason there is always something wrong with the cable releases I have used.
If anybody has any recommendations that they have had some longevity from, I would be very grateful!

I use Minolta Cable II shutter releases. I use them with my Hasselblads, 501cm, 503cx, and 4x5 cameras. Look for new/used ones on the auction site, as they are no longer made.

Thank you!
This is still made and it’s my preferred one:

Also the Silvestri professional cable release, but it looks almost identical:

(I have both and I can’t distinguish them ;) )
Much appreciated!

I have several mechanical cable releases that I have been using with Hasselblad and Leica cameras for many years, never a problem, so I'm not sure why your cable releases are not lasting well. Mine are all pretty short (7 to 9 inch) ... I'd like that Kaiser 50cm or even a Minolta 70cm but dang! That Kaiser 50cm release is $100 at B&H! The used prices on Ebay are much more reasonable but then you're dealing with a used item and you can't really tell the condition until you get it home and use it.
