The Pro-B2 is identical to the 1200Ws Pro-B3 pack with the only real difference being the Pro-B2 came from the factory with SLA batteries vs. LiO, BUT could be upgraded by Profoto AS THIS ONE HAS BEEN to run off either SLA or LiO batteries (see sticker on bottom).
This is a true pro-level 1200ws battery pack and one of the few made with very short flash durations across its entire power range (see attached). Great for leaf lenses. It can be used while charging.
Pack works perfectly, no issues with only minor cosmetic signs of use. Does make a faint fan-like noise when on, but has since we bought it years ago and it's pretty common in the Pro B2 & B3 packs. We've had 1 other that did the same and neither has skipped a beat.
It currently runs off lead-acid packs re-celled with aftermarket batteries (FAR cheaper). Recelling the cassettes with new batteries is a 10 min job with a screwdriver & soldering gun (solder two leads on battery tabs)
As with using aftermarket batteries in the Profoto Acute B packs, the battery level indicator is overly sensitive to minute voltage changes and using aftermarket batteries will make the battery level indicator give a reading (too pessimistic) based on the power setting of the last 'pop'. We just shot until it died before swapping cassettes. See note.
Kit includes:
--------------
1 x Pro-B2 pack
2 x Lead acid batteries (or empty cassettes)
2 x 2A chargers (not shown)
1 x sync cable for radio trigger.
NOTE
I would be willing to ship with just empty cassettes (no batteries) to save shipping costs or if owner has own battery preference.
Price is US$375 with payment by EMT or PP (add 3%) and shipping based on buyer's location using Canada Post online estimate.
