Dave

Thanks for taking the time to check out the site and for the kind feedback.

Steven

Runs on my iPad so I don’t think it uses flash.

Steven, looks wonderful. Clean classy and beautiful. Just like your images.

I contacted Zenfolio and this is their answer back for those that are having trouble opening my new site.

It is possible that there is something on there browser that is blocking your site, such as an anti virus, add on or their browser may not allow 3rd party cookies

I also received this from Zenfolio.

looking at the screenshot it looks like it is not showing in https for them, this could be why they can't see it. if they try adding https in front of your url it should open
https://www.friedmanphoto.com/ or maybe you can send them this link. Google may be blocking it due to it look having https in front of it.

This is their main suggestion

I recommend asking them to check to see if their browser is set to accept cookies.

Steve in my opinion the hosting service should handle those issues natively. In other words, if https is necessary it should automatically send users to https. Also antivirus or no cookies should not affect image loading.

Those sound a bit like lame excuses from their part. If you keep having trouble, even though it’s a pain you might want to look at other services. Your site worked fine for me though. I’ve had good luck with squarespace.com for mine. I’ve also seen nice sites with Virb

Thanks for the advice. I agree the answers seems a but lame. Zenfolio told me they are in the process of converting over to the HTTPS, so there are some transition issues. I just switched from Livebooks, so another switch is not going to happen anytime soon. I tried Squarespace, Photodeck, and PhotoShelter but decided Zenfolio had the control over the image gallery and image titles that worked for me. I have over a 1000 images, so finding a look for the gallery, which allowed the images to be shown quickly with titles and image sizes was important for me and the clients that sell my work.

The website displays fine for me on Android and iOS devices. Everything looks good.

I see you have tried multiple turnkey providers. Did you try WordPress open source tools? I am about to start working on a website and will start with WordPress. If I cannot succeed I will go turnkey.

Thank you for the feedback.

I did not try Wordpress. It only took me a few days to put the site together with Zenfolio after I prepped the images. Of course prepping over a 1000 images took some time.
