Exactly. In summer the water levels at PD are extremely low, and this year they even exposed parts of the church. Do you happen to live somewhere nearby? The Ladybower plughole in full flow is a terrifying sight. There's something of the descent into the Maelstrom about it.
How things change too. It doesn't seem very long ago that we had so little rain that the remnants of Derwent village were poking up above the water line.
I don’t have a single technique I approach and process each image individually. Most of my shots are single exposures. The 14 stops of dynamic range were the main reason I chose the H system. Medium format gives you incredible flexibility when working with files. The range of tones from dark shadows to very bright highlights in a number of your photographs is quite large. I am curious whether you use a specific type of HDR software or manual masking of multiple exposures that you stack.
On top of that, the optical quality of the HCD 24mm is phenomenal to me. That’s why I’d like to maintain similar parameters while increasing my ability to control perspective.
It would help if you showed me which photo you’re referring to then I could answer more precisely.
Sorry as well for constantly changing my mind and asking more questions, but the number of options and possibilities in the new system is honestly overwhelming for me.
While browsing this forum and looking for additional information, I came across the SWEBO TCS20. I had never heard of this company before, but it looks like it could be a good starting point for me.
Is anyone here based around Staffordshire or visiting the Peak District and willing to meet up? I’d be happy to pay for the opportunity to test a setup like the SWEBO or Actus together. Arca Swiss is currently beyond my budget, especially since I’m prioritizing optics for now.
