A special lens fitted to an old M body.

Yeah, it's a near-magical lens. I've used it on film, on the M10 Monochrom, and on the M10-R. It never fails to make me happy. I am leaving for a two week trip on the East Coast (Cape Cod MA, Westchester and Rockland county NY, Cherry Hill NJ) and it is possible that all I'll carry is one M and this lens. We'll see.

enjoy! G

Enjoy the trip East. We've got very nice weather here.

A beauty of a lens! When I bought my first M camera (an M3) this was the lens I bought with it. I since sold it, but use the SLR version on my Pentax LX and it is such a treat!

I almost kept one Pentax DSLR body just to be able to use the FA43/1.9 that I had back in the day.
... I love this lens. ...
And I'm glad I was able to find one of the LTM specials to have it available on my Leica M (and IIIc) bodies now. :D

I didn't know that lens exists. Interesting. Did Pentax produce more lenses in LTM mount?
I don't think Pentax made any other LTM lenses, however Ricoh made LTM versions of their GR 21mm and GR 28mm lenses. I've never tried them but I have a soft spot for 21mm lenses so would love to give that a try someday.

I don't think so either. I think it was simply that so many people thought its rendering was so akin to a Leica lens that the management was motivated to produce it as a limited run special. I'm sure glad they did!
