The large blue rubber bands used to hold broccoli stalks together work very well. I'm not joking, for once.

They look like the Livestrong bracelets from the early 00's
That’s exactly what they are, or at least the equivalent thereof - originally appearing as swag on workshops sponsored by Capture Integration where one of the participants repurposed them as bumpers for the Phase One IQ backs. If memory serves, credit for this goes to @GrahamWelland…

The protective blue bumper band is the "Graham Welland MFDB Bumper Band" made popular from the original PIAB (Pigs in a Blanket) medium format workshops! A lot of great ideas (and fun relationships) came out of those Pigs workshops from medium format photographers, of which Graham Welland was a constant source of knowledge and toys. Capture Integration may still have a small stash of these party favors. I have a small handful but might take awhile to locate after the move to Florida.
