Poor girl indeed - she's just sneaked around the corner to send a text message to her boyfriend

    Great shot though.

LOL! That's a good one ... it always involves body parts doesn't it ... and arm and a leg to get it, or your eyes to avoid it. LOL!

Sorry to spoil the story, but she's one of the staff coming to tell me photography is not allowed in the exhibition rooms...8)

I'd actually been standing next to the girl on the seat then moved away to look for a good angle.

    Hi Helen
I'm not totally convinced myself (I prefer a big bouncy flatcoat). . . but Jim is a nice little guy (only 7 months old).

    There are more!

    HI Terry
    Thank you - my pleasure!

I don't know how I missed it either - it got lost amongst lots of other wedding shots - which I had sent to the bride. I didn't give it another thought until I saw it was her avatar on facebook . . . At which point I thought "damn - why didn't I see that" . . . then I went back to my pictures and realised it WAS my shot!

Have been visiting the Port of Amsterdam this weekend [actually IJmuiden]. Enjoyed a nice fish meal in the local restaurant with an excellent view of the port and the steelworks. The sun came through at last doing its magic to the surroundings.
Different moments, different light (JPEGs straight out of C1, pushed saturation slightly).

Very nice, f1,0. I like the photo of the M8 because it contains a photo of the photographer and group in the red globe. Also, the last shot is excellent.

Some very nice images, f1,0. Of the first group, I particularly like the last shot. Great b/w, and the isolation of the subject and the composition are excellent. The 5th shot, with the trees is very nice as well. Of the second group, the first is my favorite. I like the use of the wide angle lens in this shot. Good stuff. (And is that a french fry museum? Too funny.)

    Hi James
F1 said it for the other shot . . . it's the first thing that's made me want a fag for over a year . . . but this one is subtle and lovely. I hope the wait isn't too long, but I'm sure it'll be worth it.

A few test shots to see how the M9 and 50 lux would perform at maximum closeup and wide open while keeping the ISO at 160.

Some shots from my trip to Japan back in October. The first one was with the Leica 18mm.

Nice stuff, David. Love that 18mm, I hope you can get it to work on the M9. Also, nice to have post here, even though you're now one of 'them'!!

Thanks, Lloyd. It did seem strange posting over there. Felt like I had wandered into the wrong room. I've gotten used to the arbitrary wall between the threads.

Will try out the 18mm with the M9, when I get a chance. Probably this weekend.

The one below is with the 50 lux.

Here's the cat one again, except cropped a bit and converted to B&W.

Those are some wonderful portraits! Thanks for sharing. What were your lens choices here? Still with the 75 lux?

BTW, the action shots above are very nice as well. I really like the b/w conversion.
