Thanks, Woody. Seems like I come back to that teapot every time I try out a new camera. Usually the shots are flat, but this time it worked out really well.

Those are wonderful images with the 90 Elmarit. I especially like the first two.

wow! looks like I have really been underestimating that 90 elmerit. The detail and "pop" is just amazing!

Here's another one from today with the 24 lux. The stable was too dark except for the stalls at the end.

It's way too grainy, but I really like this one. The 24 lux again.

Very nice, Cindy. I like your b/w conversion, and the isolation of that last image is impressive. This first shot is a fav for sure.

Leif - the easiest way is for me to delete the last few posts here, and for you to repost your images on the M8 thread. I'm doing that now, will delete this one as well, once I see your images over on the M8 thread.

    Hi folks!

We decided it was time to merge the M8 images thread and the M9 images thread into a new digital M thread -- enjoy!

Now folks, be sure to mention in your post (if you'd like) which Digital M you used to take the shot - M8 or M9.

An abandoned coal gas plant in Istanbul, founded around 1880's, now serving as a dump yard for the out-of-service city buses. Stray dogs, overcast and chilly weather providing an eerie ambiance. M8 and the Tri-Elmars. B/W jpegs direct from camera.

    Wonderful shots here!

While out cutting my Christmas tree, I noticed this old cemetery nearby. Not many visitors come any more, I think. M8 and 28 cron.

    Beautiful shot and moment, David.

(If that were a doghouse, I'd ask if it was a self-portrait... I mean you've spent some serious bank lately, and I know we're I'd be bunking if it had been me!)

Thanks, Osman and Lloyd. Was in the right place at the right time -- with the right camera and lens.

I guess the trick to avoiding the doghouse was to first mention the price of a new Noctilux. Then everything else seemed inexpensive, relatively speaking. And she really liked my photo of the flower with the black background (we're placing a print of it on one of our walls). That helped a lot. Of course, whatever the price is, you have to double it. If we're going to finance my non-essentials, we have to do same for her non-essentials. That's only fair. Looks like macaroni and cheese (or healthy equivalent) far into the future.
