    Adam B: Nice photo.

Leif E: I like the second photo. It's norway there's supposed to be snow! Last year, we had 12-18 " around now. This year, only on the TV.

    Matt,

You mentioned you've left your UV/IR filters on with the M9. Is that because you were seeing some IR effects, or just to protect the lenses?

Lloyd: I haven't noticed any effects. They were on for the M8, and, I just left them on to protect the lenses (always have a UV filter on lenses). Not sure they're needed for IR. I've read conflicting assessments regarding their need. I'll wait and see. Right now the 75mm f/2 has only a UV filter. Cheers,

No worries, my friend. Your beautiful images are so captivating, I didn't ever notice the spelling.

Thanks for the comment Steve. You guys get much colder than we usually do ... I'm not certain how you stand it. -35F in International Falls the other night.

Thanks, Leif. Nothing wrong with nice snow photos.

Thanks Cindy. Wouldn't you rather be in Wisconsin this time of year?

    As always, thanks Lloyd.

Thanks Matt ... I definitely stayed out of the drink. This guy, however, finished about half of his bottle of 'drink' before he made the plunge.

This is a great shot Kurt, with that lone swimmer in the background. And as to the drink before the drink, what was it Forrest Gump's Mama always said?

Wow : Cindy, LLoyd, Matt , Steve, Kurt , thank you very much for your warm comments. I really appreciate ( as I appreciate constructive criticism too !)

I hope I can travel to the USA in 2010, and maybe meet some of you (maybe in Jack and Guy's workshop ).

I have cropped some of my shots in the 6X7 format due to a recent Mamyia 7II purchase wich I like a lot !!!
I am also using the Topaz Lab Adjust Photoshop plugin : it is really great for adjusting micro-contrasts in the pictures (look at the Bride dress in te sun). I admit that some of my pictures are a bit overprocessed but with time i become wiser with the plugin !!!

I'll leave that cold water to you, Jono. But it's a pleasure to admire the shot from the trip.

I had an errand on the coast and put the M8 on the seat beside me. The 21 was mounted and the thing was set kind of point-and-shooty. Auto ISO to 1250, jpeg-fine, f8. These two from the car window. Can't get much lazier than that!

Excellent shots Steve - I love the Arches.
Tim, the M9 is about lazy (for me at least!)

Here we have a winter for the first time in 20 years (or so it seems).

Here are a couple of shots from this evening (both with the 28 'cron):

Tim, the M9 is about lazy (for me at least!)

Here we have a winter for the first time in 20 years (or so it seems).

Here are a couple of shots from this evening (both with the 28 'cron):
Very nice, Jono. I love the silhouettes of the trees in that first one, of course, but the light on the furrows in the field really makes the image for me.

And what are those wheels in that second one?

    That is a keeper!

Perfect use of the 24/1.4 to include a wide vista, yet keep the subject the singular focal point of the composition.
