No distortion correction. I'm using Cornerfix to correct vignetting. I'm using the Zeiss finder, which offers a big and bright image. Bigger image than the stock finder - the one built into the camera that offers 28-135 view - in terms of image seen inside the finder regardless of FOV.

Very low distortion, according to tests I've seen, less than the 18/3.8 Super Elmar. Lighting was available light. Just turned on all the lights and tripod mounted. Set appropriate white balance at time of shooting but still tweaked in PP.

some IR, 18mm Distagon in the first one, 35mm C-Biogon for following two. Note the odd reflections in the corners on the Distagon shot, this is present in all the shots at f/11 with this lens, I'll have to do more testing to see if it's present at other apertures. At least there is NO HOT SPOT which is contrary to the M8 hot spot thread, and the corners shouldn't be visible on M8 so I have no idea who tested this lens for a hotspot.

Re: The All New More and More Fun With Digital M Images

Wow, there have been so many fine photos over the past week. Lots of pages to check out.

I've been in Las Vegas attending the Digital Cinema Summit and NAB tradeshow. Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to take a lot of photos while I was there.

Did have a chance to see (behind glass) the new Leica Summilux-C lenses for PL-mount "digital & film 35mm cine & digital" cameras. For $178,000, you get a set of 16mm, 18mm, 21mm, 25mm, 35mm, 40mm, 50mm, 65mm, 75mm, and 100mm lenses -- all f/1.4. The 16mm and 18mm lenses focus down to 0.35 meters. You have to buy the entire set, but the Band Pro sales rep I spoke with said that rental houses could buy them and rent them out individually.

A couple of shots from this trip using the M9 and 24 lux.

    Amazing images again:

    David: superb views withe the Lux;

Thrice: fantastic IR images, originally not my favourite process but you are making me think different in this respect.

Rayyan: strangers,- outstanding mood and presentation.

    Daniel: again, incredible internal shots.

... and the list seem endless.

    Compliments to all here.

Thrice: These are exceptional. The blue sky in the IR really pops. I think, in some ways, these are more striking then monochromatic IR. Thanks for sharing.

Woody: Very elegant. I like the foreground flowers and the way the buildings to either side establish the Avenue's vanishing point behind the sculpture. The cherry tree's a bonus! Nicely seen.

Wonderful pictures from everyone . . . Bart I love those macros - Matt and Steve splendid as ever. Thrice - I actually like those IR shots (I don't usually). Rayvan - the dollar a day shot is great.

Here are a couple from a misty morning walk this morning - both with M9 and 35 summarit.

I've missed out on a lot of beautiful images the past week or so and am attempting to catch up. I must remark on the flower & glasses of Jono. You constantly amaze me with your images as well as push me forward in my own efforts.

We had go out earlier this morning to check on the desert colors and came away with a few images.

    Enjoy!

Thanks Endre - I think that misty Suffolk should take the credit!
Don - I'm glad you like the glasses and flower . . . . . they were just there you know, all I had to do was point the camera and press the button. Mind you, it never ceases to amaze me how dirty Emma's glasses are! The flowers do get left a little longer these days, I love them on sunny mornings.

Your desert shots are amazing - for me it's a totally alien landscape. I particularly like the one with the 'gateway'

    all the best

YamasDigital: Nice captures. The colors are bright and fair-like. The second one's pretty surreal. Cheers, Matt

Jono: These are splendid; so, I'll re-post them in your quotes. The colors and stacked layers in the first one's stunning. It almost seems like there' a rainbow trying to form, arcing from left to the middle.

That's volcanic ash in the second one isn't it?

Also, thanks for the kind comment. Cheers, Matt.

We had go out earlier this morning to check on the desert colors and came away with a few images. Enjoy! Don
Don: Beautiful flowers and cacti. It must be astonishing to be in the middle of that landscape. Thanks for posting. Cheers, Matt.

Hey Matt. Thanks for all the kind comments. The weather here the past few days has been cool and overcast. Reminds me of my prior life in Seattle awhile ago.

    M8 + 35/2.5 PII

Didn't really anticipate our family walk would reach sundown, had to use ISO2500 for this shot. (Left the 50/1.2 at home).
