Matt, Steve, Lloyd, Dierk, Panda, Thrice, f1.0 and everyone else I'm skipping over (unintentionally), really nice images. Keep them coming.

Ashwin, interesting lens isn't it? Looks like you are making great use of it to enhance your own shooting style. The separation one can achieve with the sharpness of the lens wide-open leads to so many options. It delivers a medium format type of focus drop off. Oh, and it's also not too shabby stopped down either.

Here are a couple of recent images ... the first is in response to the cigar store indian posted a few pages back. I drove past this life-size carving outside of a local insurance agency the other morning, stopped and almost caused a pile-up because I couldn't believe how incredibly politically incorrect the image of a Native American draped in an American flag selling insurance was to view. As a car insurance agency, maybe they are looking to cause a few pile-ups.

The two others further the Americana theme.

    Hidiho Jono,
thank you and 10 points for you spotting the little joke here ...
Love that "winding road", lots of depth and made for b/w.
Is it home 'east' or 'west' ?

And how Caspar is growing ! But I noticed he still needs a lace

    Kind regards,
    Bart.

Jono: +1. What he said. Lately, the only time, I'm not grinding my teeth is when I'm shooting with a Nikon or Leica! Although, my teeth are hidden behind the Nikon anyway.

    Hello All,

I have created the attached panorama of the Getty in Los Angeles from several images taken with the 21mm 1.4 attached to the M9. The Getty does not allow tripods. Therefore the images were hand held and stitched together in Autopano Pro.

Couple more from today. First time trying out my new Polarizer for the Lee RF75 system. I kinda "made" my polarizer solution, in total it cost me $40, the Lee RF75 official polarizer costs $399.

Thanks for the comments, Matt, Ashwin and Bishop.

Bart, you have a keen eye for capturing people as they are lost in thought ... almost as if you are trying to understand what they are thinking. The third-party viewer is thereby drawn into the silent conversation.

Jono, your black and whites are always very nice. You have a unique way of bringing us into your very interesting home.

Very nice pano, Scott. Keep posting.

Daniel, you have such a wonderful split personality. Gorgeous long exposures mixed with rapid fire concert shots.

Matt, you put that magic back into old-school with that elmarit. It's amazing how different eras of Leica lenses produce their own subtle, yet distinctive looks.

Great find, Steve ... and excellent observational humor.

Lloyd: Thanks. It's tricky focusing that 90 elm at this range. My wife pointed out that iris to me on our walk.

Matt, you put that magic back into old-school with that elmarit. It's amazing how different eras of Leica lenses produce their own subtle, yet distinctive looks...

Kurt: Thank you. i am pleased with the way that lens renders photographs.

    Hi guys,
Wonderful work. Daniel. I love your very unique work with the M system..Lovely use of the GND filter.

Matt and Steve, you guys are up to your usual antics of producing wonderful captures.

    Bart, lovely environmental portraits

    Jono, great B &W....

For any of you who I may have left out, it's my fault. The thread continues to boggle my mind.... a few to share myself in my next post...

Some from last night at the Lucid Jazz Club...great band, great beverages, great friends...just a nice time. Images taken with the M9 and Noct 0.95...Let me just say that it was dark as night in there. ISO's were typically 1250-2500, shot wide open...
