You didn't even have to list the lens used - I'd recognize the 75/2's signature anywhere Nice pictures too

Tommy: These are really nice. My favorite is the first one. The composition with the low horizon, silhouetted trees, dark grass lightening towards the center left, and the sky with the bright areas at lower left works very well to create focus. The heavy, monolithic, cloud seems to push down and the light on the grass moves the eye to the lit sky. Simple, elegant and dynamic. Cheers, Matt

Thanks Matt, much appreciated. I too am enjoying the 75/2 a lot. I swapped my Summarit for the f/2 and the OOF rendering is so much nicer, but then for the money it should be

Thanks John. I can't believe how good this lens is. The Summarit was excellent, but this is a notch or two up I feel.

    Nice image, with great shadows.

I love Bocce! And discovered last month that many of the Kenyan marathoners attending the Boston Marathon are mad for Bocce. I spent nearly an hour playing with Robert Cheruiyot, this year's winner in Boston, for example.

Re: The All New More and More Fun With Digital M Images

Lloyd - thanks for the welcome. Lester (in Lorna's arms) was born on the day of the full moon at the end of April and is two days old in that picture. He is named partially after the local musician Lester Quitzau, partially to alliterate with his (white) sister Luna. He is a black sheep literally but not really metaphorically: five of the eight lambs born on this farm near Kaslo this year were black (four male), last year four of seven were black, all male. I have been spending some time on this farm during the last year and a half, my first real exposure to farming, and one thing that I have learned, is that it is bad news to be born a boy (animal) on a farm.

I will try to process some more pictures from my lambing visit soon.

Nice framing with the old tree on the left side, looking as some good glas you got there, nice color imo.

Re: The All New More and More Fun With Digital M Images

I have been asked ( rarely ! ) how I get some of the people photos I have posted here:

Simple...get close; show them you are genuine...

With friends you met sometime ago:

    works for groups:

Also for singles ( Samantha could you tilt your head a tad please..hold it ):

The magic ( if any ) is that it helps if you also happen to be tall, dark, handsome and a smooth
talker. Just kidding folks ( the tall, handsome bit. )

    Regards.

Beautiful shots and very useful tips, rayyan. By the way, is the setting of the shot of your graceful wife the steps climbing to the courtyard of Yenicami in Istanbul?
