Osman wants to keep it a secret! The Asian side. Uskudar, kadikoy, Beylerbeyi
and the palace, Hydarpasha station....magical places of Istanbul.

    Magical people too...

I totally agree with this especially whenever I'm in an ancient place such as a cliff dwelling where I swear I can still feel them.

Graham: I had somehow missed your Yerebatan shots. Masterful, I should say, because in addition to the very damp air that makes breathing an arduous task, the artificial lighting is capable of fooling the white balance of any camera, not to mention the occasional drop of moisture on the camera/lens/forehead...
Rayyan: Another beautiful shot, probably on the Karaköy Bridge, because I can see the Kadıköy pier in the background.
And lastly, I agree with everyone, it is the people that makes a place.

Lloyd has given me an idea; I may not be a portrait photographer, but can pose as a model. Why not?
This was taken by my dear friend Seyhun, a keen GetDPI member, with an M8 and Summilux 35 Aspherical. Last Saturday. Image clickable.

Hey, great shot of you, Osman. I agree with Steve, you look for all the world like Sean Connery (only much younger, and considerably more handsome! ) Great colors in the bokeh here too.

Thank you, my friend. Yes, she is much better. Still has a scar above her left eyebrow, and occasional headaches, but nothing worse.

Magical shot as well. You somehow have the impression of a collage, i.e., as if the man is cut out of another shot and then placed on the background. Was this shot with the M9, because I had the same experience with some M9 shots.

Great stuff, everyone. Blue eyes, blue skies, family gatherings, luscious landscapes, breathtaking vistas, exotic locations, urban desolation and sean connery (who hasn't looked this good in 30 years).

I'm consistently amazed by the variety and depth of the subject matter shown here. The intimacy one feels when using a Leica M in endless applications is evident in the images displayed.

Yesterday's post. I'm back from a brief vacation over on the Nikon forum - I spent the last week or so putting my D700 through its paces. But of course this is my comfort zone.

Love this one. Perfect framing and perspective.

F1, Wide & Sharp! Very Nice!

Rayyan, "Brrrr", Slow rate of molecular movement caught well!

Woody, Love the stark contrast & perspective in the B&W image!
